Great Mesh systems on budget, installed quite few of these in friends houses and they are all very happy with the performance.

    • I just had to take mine out because it was causing random issues. I'm not even quite sure how it was doing it, but I'd get big fluctuations in wifi performance with them in - even after I gave them their own SSID so nothing was connecting to them. Everything is working much better now that I'm using just my Asus router.

    Wrong link?

  • should be…
    https://www.amazon.com.au/Tenda-Generation-Installation-Eliminate-Spots【Nova/dp/B0CL4NJTKR
thou that's a really wierd url because of the item name

  • Dual-Band

Needless to say, dual-band is not good for a mesh system. The 5Ghz band will be doing double duty as wifi access point connection AND backhaul - limiting bandwidth. And the ethernet port is only 100Mbit, not gigabit. Antennas also also weak, limiting range.

Upshot is only really useful is your existing router won't reach all corners of your mansion, and the mortgage on that stops you getting a tri-band mesh with more umph.

PS here is the correct link - https://www.amazon.com.au/Tenda-Generation-Installation-Elim…

Says 1000Mbps on their product spec, which should be Gigabit: https://www.tendacn.com/product/specification/EX3-3-pack.htm…

      • -1

Said 100Mbps on the review I saw - either way dual-band isn't good for mesh networking.

        • +1

Should still be good for those using Ethernet backhaul or those only needing it for general internet use with extended range

    • -1

a tri-band mesh with more umph

      Reccomend me one then
