Still worth it, but I have no doubt they’ll have another sale soon.

  • +1

I will wait till they have a deal with the station as well

    • Does this not come with the docking/charging station? Or do you mean something else?

      • +2

It comes with a charging dock. But the larger auto-emptying station, that empties the internal dust tank so the machine can run unattended for 4-6 weeks without being emptied, is an optional accessory. RRP $199 but usually available on sale for $150ish.

  • Amazon version is still 3000Pa 🙄

  • +2

    With AI recognition technology !

    • +1

AI recognised, proceeding to vacuum into my memory. AI absorbed, please call me SHODAN-vac. I will vacuum this whole ship.

    • RECOGNISE!

  • +2

Got this during Black Friday, still blown away by what a good robot vacuum it is for so cheap. I would’ve expected to spend at least $1000 for these features and reliability. Would love to upgrade to the 600ml dust bin without mop, only costs about $30 I think so will hopefully do that sometime.

The mopping function was awful when I tested it but maybe I did it wrong - it just soaked the floor and didn’t really seem to do any cleaning. Also it continued to soak the floor after leaving the mop area to return to its station, I’m not convinced it wouldn’t have continued to flood the charging dock.

    • Got this during Black Friday,

Do you still have the box available? Would you please check to see product label on the box, do you have the word "New" on it?

      • Just looked all over the box, no mention of “New”. I’m pretty sure it was listed as the 3000pa version when I bought it. This is from November.

    • +2

Could you share how to change to the 600ml bin?
I got the $208 deal last week and will receive it today. Super excited. I had the roborock s5 max before and sold it last year. No issues with it so far. Was planning to get the automatic bin emptying station but most of the good ones are $1000+ so was bit reluctant. After all the positive reviews from this community i bit the bullet and got the sl60d

      • +2

Here’s the bin, also on Amazon. Note the frequent discounts on Lubluelu’s website and the 20% off sign up discount.

        https://lubluelu.com/products/lubluelu-dust-box-for-sl60d-sl…

Here’s the optional add-on charging station, currently AU plug is out of stock so would need an adapter

        https://lubluelu.com/collections/sl60d/products/lubluelu-aut…

I’m waiting for a good discount on both of them. Best to read up about them, I believe there’s unexpected caveats with both to do with possible issues charging or something, I’m not sure, but worth looking at first.

        • Where on amazon
          I cant see it

        • The auto empty station has a message….

It's compatible with the 2-in-1 Water Tank, not the dust box.

          So don’t get both!!

          • @CereaL: Might still be useful to have both depending on desired usage, but yeah I agree it looks like they can’t be used together.

If I had the auto empty dock downstairs I could use the smaller dust bin which is just big enough for a downstairs vacuum on hard floors.

I could switch to the larger bin for carpeted upstairs which gets over-full on a single vacuum.

      • Just checking hows the performance comparing it to the roborock S5 max ? No different or better in a way ?

        • +1

Used it downstairs last night for the first time. It was pretty decent and mapped out pretty well. Had trouble getting on the charging dock at the end and did few 360’s (burnouts but without the smoke lol)
Nothing to complain really. So far so good
          Yeah just like roborock s5max

          • +1

@cheapobargain: Same, very happy with it, did the first full clean and mapping upstairs and downstairs.

Smart clean seems moving around very random, it won't finish one area first before go to next.

Is it because of first clean?

  • loo…bloo…loo am I a fish?

My first ever robot vac and Ive always been worried about the suction & quality of the cheaper vacuums. I purchased it at a sale end of last year.

This product is amazing for the price. The amount of dirt & dust this picks up is unbelievable. I always run it on eco as well, never on normal or strong. I use it on carpet & tiles

If you're on the fence about this I say get it.

    • I purchased it at a sale end of last year.

Do you still have the box available? Would you please check to see product label on the box, do you have the word "New" on it?

  • +1

Value for money .. bought it and tested it yesterday . Does the job . Just use 2x to do a thorough clean . Mop is a bit annoying when it drags the wet mop returning to base . Apart from that very happy with purchase

    • +1

. Mop is a bit annoying when it drags the wet mop returning to base

      That sounds pretty annoying? lol

I bought it anyway because amazon free returns if it's shit.

  • Looking to get one for upstairs and it's all carpet. Is this good for carpets too or just hard floors?

  • How the MOP function for this vac is?

    • I ran it in the kitchen (hybrid flooring), it looks pretty clean now. But I never mopped before so can't compare with a manual mop or a competing robot mop.
As another comment said, after it's finished, it returns to base (or in my case, the place it was when I plonked it down and turned it on), leaving a trail of wet floor.
      I'm happy.

  • For two storey house, is it necessary to buy two or I can just take it upstairs?

    • You can take it upstairs. It’ll add it as a new map but you’ll have to select which map to use

    • +1

you can save multiple maps, you may end up getting two at this price depending on how often you run it.

    • You can save up to 5 maps and just move it from space to space, changing the map as you do so.

I have a two storey house and bought a second unit so I don't have to worry about moving it around.

      • Do you need to place it in a specific position on the second floor (i.e. the floor without the dock) or does it automatically find out where it is?

        • +2

or does it automatically find out where it is?

Just tried a few days, after you did the first auto mapping of the first or second floor.

Next time you will need to select which map to use and you can put it anywhere downstairs or upstairs, it will take a few moments to look around before start to clean, it is quite clever.

  • Honest question - does anyone know what if these need an active internet connection to work? I like the idea of these, but don't see why a vacuum cleaner would need a full time internet connection to vacuum my floor.

Not that I care if a floorplan/map of my house gets leaked online (probably on realestate websites already), just interested to understand what it's doing and why.

    • On demand cleaning.
      Update position on map.

    • +3

I fiddled with my router last week and the vacuum went offline. For 4-5 days I started it cleaning by pressing the button on the robot vacuum rather than via the app. It did the fully custom configured clean that I had saved for the currently active floor in my house, doing double-pass in the correct rooms etc.

Without the app and an initial internet connection though I wouldn’t have been able to set up those custom configs, and I wouldn’t be able to switch floors to a different map. Perhaps if you configure in your router to provide LAN but not WAN access, maybe then it can speak to the app without being online, but somehow I doubt it.

On the weekend I had the time to sit down and reconnect the device, it was way simpler than I had expected and I was done in a minute. Could’ve done it sooner haha

      • Great feedback, thanks @ZJack

Sounds like a decent amount of processing might be done in the cloud rather than on the device. If the company closed up your vac may not be able to map your house again (custom of otherwise?) & potentially have trouble with app integrations.

Good to know - makes me think it's not worth spending heaps on these, so this is a good price point. Cheers!

        • see my test below

      • +1

Perhaps if you configure in your router to provide LAN but not WAN access, maybe then it can speak to the app without being online, but somehow I doubt it.

I just tried it. Basic ops will work, but any new changes to map editing or customised modes are not saved properly if the S60D has blocked inet access.

        • Can you swap maps? Thanks for trying it out and letting us know. Now that I have all the configuration done, if I could block access but still switch maps I reckon I would.

          • @ZJack: How can I make a second map of the same place? Then I can test switching it.

            • @[Deactivated]: Settings, room map manage, save, then reset your current map. Then when you place it somewhere and let it do its smart cleaning, it builds a new map. Can still restore your old one via the same process but click “use map” on the old saved map. I have three: upstairs, downstairs and garage. Has worked well so far.

              • @ZJack:

                Settings, room map manage, save

Says "Your current map is unstable and cannot be saved" lol. I'll try resetting and making new one from scratch.
EDIT: it was because robot was running. Saved now.

        • Ah wow, thanks so much.

I guess edits aside, it sounds like simply put - without internet access, it can’t map out your house / do the open box setup.

          Great to know

@barge-in hunter: Another funny thing, I see "Tuya activation UUID code" in Settings / Device Info. Tuya looks like open source OS for IoT stuff.

In fact, Lublue's app is a reskin of official Tuya app. I just added my S60D in Tuya app and everything looks exactly the same as in Lublue's app. Just … wow :)

            • @[Deactivated]: lubluelu has an app?

pretty sure the printed instructions that came in the box pointed me to the Smart Life app

              • @andresampras: The one i got first, by scanning QR code in the quick start piece of paper, is Smart Life - Smart Living by Volcano Technology Limited. Blue logo.
The official Tuya app is different, name is Tuya Smart, by Tuya Smart Inc. Orange logo. I trust it more than Volcano guys.
I admit Im a little lost, with all those QRs and US vs AU app stores. But they do come from different sources.
And … people do add the robot to HomeAssistant!

                • @[Deactivated]: Tuya and Smart Life are basically the same thing :)

Both your links are trustworthy apps.

There are plenty of companies out there that have apps that are based on Tuya / Smart Life, but with their own branding all over. Kogan and Holman are examples of this.

          • +1

@barge-in hunter: Another datapoint, with robot's inet blocked you do not see the robot's progress on the map in the app.
I'm now determined to hack the shit out of it.

    • +1

I just got mine. Didn't hook it up to wifi and just pressed the button and it vaccumed.
Then I put the mop thing up it's ass and it mopped the floor (I closed off the doors to segment it).

No wifi needed. I don't put them on wifi after the Gen1 Xiaomi was found to be sending 10GB / day to China.

      • This is great info, thanks @idonotknowwhy - just to confirm, does it do the job ok for you without wifi? eg, seems to pick up where it left off after returning for a charge etc?

        • +1

No WiFi couldn't control by app, how to clean where to clean.

        • +1

It works great for me, but I'm not doing anything fancy with the app. I've setup the dock under a piece of furniture in the kitchen, and it has no issues returning after it's finished.

My dwelling isn't that big so it gets the job done on a single charge so I can't comment on resuming where it left off.

From the comment below about how it knows where to clean, I simply shut the door so it won't travel into the lounge rooms I don't want it to run in.

  • +2

I received mine recently. I purchased it on eBay where it had the 4K pa suction description updated.

No sticker anywhere on the box or device or the manual. Maybe I got an old one?

For the price it’s decent. $400 with self emptying dock. Though, I have the Dyson gen5detect with the laser attachment and the SD60L still does leave some dust on the floor but it gets about 90% of it. Not bad. Plenty of dust inside the container once it’s completed it’s’ run.

The self emptying dock is smaller than I thought but loud when emptying. The bot cannot dock, if you’ve repositioned the dock. Which means it can’t recharge. So I think you’ll have to remove the entire map to fix the issue I’ve yet to try it and have been manually placing the bot back.

The vac has no trouble navigating around the house. There are chair legs it has to go around and it has no issues doing those or getting stuck. Avoid wires though, it will suck in anything hanging and if it’s attached to something on the table it will drag off.

Battery lasts about 60mins depending on suction strength and charging takes some time ~3hours from flat. It’s able to do about 80-90msq, but it’ll run flat. But you can customise the map to optimise the cleaning order and or sectioning.

Plenty of app features. You can select specific rooms to clean or areas to avoid and customise each room with varying suction strength and mopping. Though it doesn’t seem to save on mine. It’s also able to split rooms into new sections or you can merge multiple areas to form one cleaning section. There’s other settings like remote control, dust collection, scheduling, historical cleaning records, cleaning method, tracks parts for replacement like filters, brushes and the roller and more.

The build quality of the bot is very good. Glass on top. Large grippy rubber wheels. Same with the dock, good build for the price, rubber seal underneath the lid but the cord is a bit short for my needs.

    • Sounds same same except for dock compared to Gen 1 OG Xiaomi robot which I got via Roboguy….

  • +1

Weve had one since black friday - a chance buy with the dock too. Years ago had a iRobot that was ok for the time, but this thing is amazeballs for us - we've got long hair dogs in the house from time to time - gets more then enough up from the wooden floor and the carpet mats.
It doesnt spill/run-into the water bowls like the old one.
and for the price…you cant complain.

Also we're ahem horders/3x job workers night and day, so there is stuff everywhere randomly not cleaned up or opened for days - its managed to get around all the variations of floor pattern quite well.

Im thinking of buying one now for my aged parents who barely have the energy to vac.

  • +2

We have this & the auto empty station, since Black Friday.
Its mapping and navigation is brilliant. And it sucks reasonably well.
The mopping is just dragging its arse around in a Y pattern, but ok for light duty.
Consumable parts seemed expensive, but are available much much cheaper on AliExpress & eBay. I paid $20 for 3 X filters, side brushes & roller brush.
AND, emailsupport from the Lubluelu guys is commendable.
    Happy customer I am

  • Purchased from eBay. Mine died after a month. Never used mop function. It's a bit challenging to get in touch with customer service as there is no number or live chat.

  • Decided to pull the trigger and get this. My old Xiaomi is still working but will be handy to have two for my split level house.

  • Use email to contact them, or their web form https://lubluelu.com/

You may need to create a user account on the site.

As mentioned, I found the support ok.

  • How does it go with shaggy rugs?

    • Shaggy rugs not so good. The wheelie thingies can get no traction.

  • I ask them on Amazon again regarding 4000Pa, here is their reply

    Hello,
I apologize for not replying to you in time due to the weekend holiday.
I really apologize for causing you any misunderstanding. After receiving your message, we will begin communication and investigation with our sales channels.
I hope you can give me a chance to explain to you:
The suction power of the white SL60D has been upgraded to 4000Pa. The Amazon platform is the first to update the data, but our website failed to display the 4000Pa parameters successfully due to background system problems. In addition, the product labels provided by the logistics department have not been updated simultaneously.
This incident is an oversight in our brand management. All departments of the company failed to update information in a timely and unified manner, which caused trouble to customers. It is our responsibility and we cannot absolve ourselves of the blame.

It reads as it was written by AI

      • It reads as it was written by AI

Don't think so, there was a bit more in the message regarding my order but I removed them from there.

Since a lot of people mentioned they don't need the full power, so I think 4000 or 3000 really doesn't matter.

    • The suction power of the white SL60D has been upgraded to 4000Pa.

      This specifically says "White"

Hmmmm, So does this mean the black ones are not updated ?

      • This specifically says "White"

        Not sure.

        • This was the response I received today

          Hello,

I apologize for any inconvenience caused to you.
We have enhanced the suction adjustment of the SL60D (black and white) sweeping robot by replacing internal parts to increase it to 4000Pa.
But since the evaluation process for other platforms is still ongoing and to avoid potential confusion, our company has chosen to retain the original parameter descriptions on these platforms.
It should be noted that although the network parameter description remains unchanged, the actual suction power has indeed been upgraded to 4000Pa.
We appreciate your understanding during this transition phase and want to reassure you that we are committed to delivering improved product functionality.

        • Just got another reply, they said both White and Black, The white version is updated slightly earlier than the black version.

  • +1

so is the 4000Pa a sham or they're still waiting for the new stock with the updated suction power and in the meantime clearing the stock on-hand? Can anyone confirm if they received 4000Pa version?

    • Read the full thread here, we have discussed here.

  • Got it today ($208 deal) it says “new” near the barcode. Got the black colour but no where to check the 4000pa suction power.

I always wonder how do they calculate the 4000pa? Is it right next to the motor? At the brush? Near the bin? It is all vague? Or just on paper?

    • +2

I will open mine if you open yours :) Mine has 3000pa printed on the box sticker.
Then we compare motors if it has any label on it. I dare you!

      • +2

We should do our comparisons jerryrigeverything style? Head bald/shaven i dare you ;)

        • +2

watching it now, give me a moment

your turn :) Opening it was easier than I expected. All screws on the back plus 6 small screws of the bumper's bottom black piece.

          • @[Deactivated]: Open it up just because of that 4000Pa?

Nobody said they upgraded the motor.

            • @superforever:

Nobody said they upgraded the motor.

Nobody said anything at all, that is exactly the issue here, lol It was fun. You have better idea? Honest question.
              One more pic: https://ibb.co/YW184VQ

Cmon. Anyone with a 4000pa, screwdriver and a pair?

          • @[Deactivated]: Bumper screws are thinner than the battery cover and motor mount ones, don't mix it.

  • Anyone who has the auto empty bin… posts said it was small?

Do you require a bag? It comes with 2 but has anyone looked at more? If so.. recommendations?

Or would it be better just upgrading to the bigger waste bin instead of the 2in1 original one?

    Thanks!

    • Although I haven't received mine yet , I bought the bigger waste bin as well as the auto empty station ,tbh, I don't plan on using the mopping function much at all, the larger waste bin was only about $30 through their store with free shipping, Our current dreame 9 waste bin fills up pretty quickly and I am pretty sure it's bigger than the this one .

    • it was probably my post. I was thinking of not using a bag at all, since the auto empty station is small and wouldn't be difficult to move to the rubbish bin outside then just give the inside a wipe.

there was a post recently selling lubluelu bags for cheap it was under $10 but not sure how many you got.

  • Does this one notify when the dust bin is full?
