10GB seems like a lot of ram for a Core i3. Would have thought 6gb is plenty. Guess this laptop has 4 slots of something. Comes with 2GB ram, upgrade two 4gb sticks. I thought most laptops have 2 slots. And only the higher end more expensive Core i7's have 4 slots.

    • Its originally 2gb then they put an extra 8gb stick of ram. So my guess its two slots.

      • Didn't think a mainstream laptop like this would have the capability for 8GB sticks of RAM.

        • Agreed…
          Looks like a typo.

    • There's no V3-571-32352G50MAKK model on the Acer Australia website. Here's the specs from the Acer INDIA website…

      http://www.acer.co.in/ac/en/IN/content/model-datasheet/NX.RY…

According to the specs, it supports 8GB maximum memory. It may not support 10GB (as in 2+8GB), but for an extra $1, it's not a big risk.

      Standard Memory: 2 GB
      Maximum Memory: 8 GB
      Memory Technology: DDR3 SDRAM
Number of Total Memory Slots: 2

      • it supports 10gb. i bought one yesterday, the sales said that it support up to 8gb in one dimm slot so max 16gb with all slot filled then.
