Inno3d GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB Twin X2 Graphics Card - $599 + Surcharge (Free Delivery) @ Centre Com

290

Decent price for a 16GB variant of a 4060 ti albeit with a relatively simplistic cooler and backplate design.

Surcharges: 1.2% Card & PayPal, 2% AmEx.

Free shipping excludes WA, NT & remote areas.

The PNY Verto OC 16 GB model was also recently this price which I picked up myself, although the deal was removed within the day.

  • What are near comparisons for these 4060s to AMD now? I would assume around a 6700/6800 XT but I haven't kept up with the new 7000 series as much. Does the extra vram over the 8GB 4060s make these competitive?

      Marginally faster than a 6700xt, ~5%.

The 16gb variant is maybe 2-3% faster than the 8gb variant above 1080p. The extra vram doesn't help at higher resolutions when the card is crippled in other aspects anyways.

      • So 6700 XT is better right?

        • It might depend on what games you play and whether the game supports DLSS frame gen. If they do, you might get perceptually better performance from the 4060 Ti, especially if you can hit 60fps without DLSS and then turn it on to boost well above 60. The 4060 Ti might have better ray tracing performance too but again it depends on whether that's important to you. I would opt for the newer, more efficient architecture and features of the 4060 Ti but that's just me

@Demarque: It has better Ray tracing but it's debatable if you'd use it with this class of card and if you do and are upscaling to 1080p with rt on then it's not going to look very good… But each to their own… I would look at these card based on their raster performance + DLSS (FSR for amd) and make decision there.

This may be the gpu market we all need to get used to moving forward as AMD is not doing anything except following nvidia who don't give much of a crap about that market vs the Ai/data centre market.

            • @scud70: Yeah the compromise in performance and resolution needed for RT on this card is probably not worth it except for very specific circumstances. I would probably still go for Nvidia for the more refined software / driver experience, that DLSS still looks better to my eyes than equivalent FSR settings, but it is frustrating to have to recommend an Nvidia product when I know that we need more real competition in the GPU space…

              • @Demarque: luckily for me i don't care much and can't tell that easily unless things are side by side haha… but i know RT on my 3060 was complete waste of time … and i can easily game on my 6800XT with FSR at 4k ( i only play single player story type games) and not really notice some of the fsr downsides … while you are playing there aren't a huge amount of people who can really pay that close of an attention … DLSS is def better but i'm fine with paying just under $600 for my used 6800XT and have better base fps to upscale from than my 3060 could acheive .. :)

Nice price! I’m selling hanging for a 4070 price drop tho.

    • kind of crazy how there's a ~$400 gap between tiers

A few days ago there was one on here for $830, Center com.

I’m thinking once the supers settle down perhaps 4070 prices will drop a bit :D

I’ve had a gpu problem fora few months now after buying one of these cheap 1440 widescreens!!

Kind of crazy how a low tier card like this is circa $600 on discount

  • They also have the Asus 4070 Super OC edition for $999 cheaper than the non OC version for now
Also Asus Tuf gaming 4070 ti and MSI ventus 3x 4070 ti for $1099.
Which one is better buy ? I am torn between the newer Super or slightly faster 4070 Ti but older.

why would the newness in this case matter to you? when nvidia drops support in the future, these would be dropped together.

    • +1

The TUF gaming 4070 ti is probably the best buy since its a higher quality card

Not that great for gaming but the best value card for running A.I generative software like Stable Diffusion due to the 16GB VRAM.
