Unless you're in it for the novelty factor, this is definitely not worth $799. Download Retroarch and do some homework and you're setup with way more than the four games offered by this machine.

    • I'd argue this is more for someone that wants the classic experience, authenticity and legality of the cabinet. No one is going to drop the $ for this if they are not a fan.

These cabinets looks rellay nice but are over priced. I remeber when they were much cheaper. I would prefer to spend more get a custom cabinet that is bigger and plays all games.

  • Anyone know where to get said custom box that’s not too expensive? Would be nice to put one in at work in the break room.

Get a PC in a cabinet and emulate is better than this, you could have hundreds of games.

Just google retro arcade PC cabinet.

      Arcade1Up do officially licenced games.

What on earth gave you the idea this isn't a licensed cab?

    • Costco ain't making cabs either..

I see, no need to get defensive guys, didn't mean no harm. (Looking at all the negs) That's good they actually do license the game, makes it more worthwhile.

Paid a grand for mine a few years back when we bought the house (mind you, ended up getting 350 odd back, long story). Quality cabinet. Only thing that would make it better is if it had OutRun 2/006. (profanity) pay double for that bad boy.

If you like OutRun, it's a great unit. Mind you, 800 is still insane for a couple of old games. If it (and the Simpsons Arcade I bought at the same time) wasn't for buying a house and going "(profanity) it, what's 2 grand, who cares?" I wouldn't be caught dead paying that much for anything though lol.

Buy yourself a good Logitech wheel and pedal setup, a cheap pc and monitor and some timber from Bunnings and knock one up. You'll still come in hundreds of dollars cheaper and you will be able to play many driving games.
