    • While it was down, I did an enormous poo, and I mean gigantic: a fat, 85cm log. I couldn’t flush it down the toilet, so I carried it out into the backyard. I went to get a shovel to bury it, but when I came back a rat was gnawing on it. The rat saw me and tried to carry away a chunk of it. I didn’t want the rat carrying my poo into the neighbour’s yard, so I chased after it, but tripped over a passionfruit vine and landed head first in my own gigantic poo.

Was a really dark patch in my life

    • +4

…. And even bigger savings, because I didn't buy anything.

      • Money burning a hole through my pocket.

        • +1

Well now you need new pants. Self-solving problem.

  • +38

I went and viewed cached versions of the site and pretended nothing was wrong

  • +19

    turned wifi off and tried
    used 4g and tried loading
went to local library and used wifi to try load
went to apply store and used their iphone to try and load
went to maccas (has a soft serve) and tried loading
went to work and tried loading
jumped on a plane and went to singapore and went to a maccas and tried loading

    didnt work

    • +6

      Singapore has a different URL:
      https://www.cheapcheaplah.com/

      • +2

Man barely any interaction on that site compared to ozb

      • +1

Wow, zero comments on every deal. It's a ghost city.

        • Looking at the front page it's pretty much just neil…

    • +1

i disagree that u did all that we all know maccas ice cream machines were offline during the down time

  • +21

Stopped my DDoS attack, mission accomplished

  • +2

    Searched for JVBargain

  • +1

I would’ve gone for a walk but Melbourne is baking at the moment. We washed our Doonas and underlay and everything is outside making sure they are bone dry before going back on the bed.

  • +35

Told Mrs Muzeeb it's now or never. So that killed about 27 seconds. The rest was just hitting F5.

    • +13

If we see a spike in births around 9 months I will tip off the relevant scientific authorities as to possible cause

      • +7

Pram and car seat deals all over the front page will give it away.

    • +3

Told Mrs Muzeeb it's now or never. So that killed about 27 seconds.

      Bragging again?

    • 27 seconds? What’s your secret? I can’t even get to half that time!

  • +3

Same thing I do when ozbargain is up - nothing.

  • +1

Was attempting to keep cool in this 41 degree heat in Victoria.

    • I've been out in it splitting wood all day. Somehow didn't notice it was hot until I came back inside…

      • Hoping you’re alright!

      • +5

I've been out in it splitting wood all day

I wooden do that if I were you.

    • +1

It's not as bad as I thought it'd be. Dryness makes it much more bearable.

      • that's what she said

  • +5

OzBargain was down? I figured Netscape Navigator on my Windows 3.1/Dos 6 desktop was having a senior moment.

    • +2

      That makes sense. Cheers

      • +5

Printing your comment on my dot matrix printer, when I load up the fan fold paper.

    • I used Lynx, no problem

  • +8

Isn't it down like almost everyday in afternoon ?? nowadays

    • It was down for ~2 hours this time

    • thats what i noticed. thought was my internet before

  • +1

    Went out for extended smoko

  • +23

Paid full price for things I didn’t need

  • +3

Walked in 39 degrees to Bunnings to aimlessly look at things I didn’t want in person

  • +1

Sat around with friends and family and took bets on what "person" was going to be first to post the inevitable "WhAt DiD yOuSe Do wHiLe oZb wAs DoWn"…

We also took wagers on who was going to make the first "HeY hAs/WaS OzB DoWn fOr EvErYoNe oF YoUsE oR jUsT mE" post… that promptly gets moved to the "site discussion" mega-thread.

OzBargain goes down on members 🤔

  • +1

I went out for a coffee after watching kdramas. Its 42 here. I shouldve stayed at home.

  • +2

What has been happening to Ozbargain?
There is a cloudflare turnstile or something when first opening the page?
Sometimes, it would say that you have been blocked!

The server rooms are having a meltdown down?

  • Wondered if the problem was at my end - or theirs.

  • +2

    Huh?

  • +12

Went outside, saw a human and got scared, ran back inside, tried to go on Ozbargain (to no avail) and then cried and peed myself until I became dehydrated, fainted (due to lack of hydration), woke up, checked Ozbargain and wrote this comment

    How about you?

    • +2

Go order some Hydralyte for next time.

  • +2

Saved money by not buying anything 😂

  • +3

Didn't even know it was down.

  • +3

tried to get into their data centre
    wouldn't let me in 🥺

    got arrested
had chance to message my lawyer
    telling everyone on ozbargain instead

  • F5

  • +1

Contemplated going outside for a walk.

Then caught myself mid thought, and remembered Ozbargain is life. Ain't got no time for distractions.

  • +2

Went straight to Whirlpool to see if anyone was asking if it was down.

  • Called Premium support, they told me… please wait, your call is very important…

    • +3

What are you talking about? If you were a real platinum/premium member you could have just used the platinum site which hasn’t been impacted by the attacks yet.

      • +1

And the good thing about that was only platinum members could post deals on the mirror site. No sockpuppeting for 2 hours. Bliss.

  • +1

    when was this?

    • While you were having your nanna nap this afternoon.

      • +1

Lol man, you sound upset because "the site had been down"?

Also, all my nannas have been long gone and I'm pretty sure I wasn't helping anyone else's nannas to nap either 🤭

  • +1

Cost me so much money as I had to buy things at full price.

  • +1

    I laughed, then I cried.

  • Didnt wait for it to come back up just to make this thread. thats for sure.

  • +1

  • Huddled in a corner, rocking back and forth, hoping JV wouldn't come and eat me during the down time.
