Does Apple online store price match?

    • yes, but they maximum match to 10% off, so $359 from $399

  • +1

    will JB price match Costco

    • Nope

    • I price matched previous AirPod Pros with JB before (in-store) no problem

    • +1

Just live chat them, worst case they say no.

      • +4

        confirmed no on chat

This one is a bit of a grey area

Officeworks may not price beat because Costco is not open to the public and require membership for purchases. You may get a staff that doesn't care and that's great.

Also with certain price protection credit card insurance they will exclude price protection from membership clubs.

    • +1

I just called up their Online customer service team and they happily price beat it for me and put the order through for C&C

      • that's nice of them

        well done

    • Per a staff members comment on here in another deal, Officeworks do in fact price match Costco so long as the staff know how to do their job properly.

  • Got these from OfficeWorks two days ago for $358.

Is it worth returning them and buying again to scrounge the difference?

Will they credit the diff out of the goodness of their hearts?

    • +8

How much do you value your time?

You will get $36 if you're successful, only you can determine if this is worth your time or not.

Not sure if they will credit the difference, but I've done the same thing at OW before no issues (buy for cheaper price, refund for higher price).

      • Do you know if the 30-day change of mind policy applies to opened items?

        • Not for Apple products unfortunately, Apple is the only store that will return open apple products

          • @Demarcus cousins: You can return open Apple products to Costco for a change of mind

        • +3

You go in buy a new set then use old receipt to return the unopened ones?

          • +1

@slipperypete: Duh, of course. Thanks! :)

          • @slipperypete: Doesn't the receipt have serial numbers, don't they check the serial numbers for returns? If that were the case you could buy fakes which also have S/N on them and just return them and nobody would know.

        • +2

Not sure which mong negged you for asking a question but they don't take back items that are inserted into your orifice. They do however, take back all other items if unfit for purpose.

          • +2

            @[Deactivated]: thanks

yeah I think there are a group of unhappy souls out there who sit there pushing the neg button in the hope it'll fill the empty void in their lives

  • hoping for another 260 deal

  • +5

These are excellent no doubts. Have a couple of the other models. But still this is very expensive. Maybe the cost of living increases has finally affecting me.

  • They're still $354.10 at MediaForm if you want to do a price match and they won't do Costco.

  • Thanks OP perfect for my Vision Pro

if anyone purchases pls post the receipt from officeworks

  • 1300 OFFICE (633 423)

This is the number to call to price beat over the phone

  • I bought them two days ago for $309 from ebay ($329 - $20 coupon), seller was OzOnlineBuys. Does anyone know if this seller is reputable and genuine stock (has 99.9% positive feedback with over 10k reviews), or should I return and buy from Officeworks?

    • +1

I wouldn’t take the risk tbh, I would return them

      • +1

Why? Seller has high ratings and a lot of turnover and a few posts on ozb too!

        • Yeah I get that.. but at the same time, you have to question how some random gets coveted items at a price cheaper than major retailers.

          Something is suss.

        • I bought from a ‘reputable’ online store, not even eBay, thought I had a good deal but something never quite seemed right, always had niggling issues, poor connections. It was only when they developed a problem that the Apple Store told me they were overseas stock. I always wonder whether they were rejected stock, refurbished, failed QC or something like that. I’m not taking the risk again when spending this much, not worth it

When they arrive do a quick serial check to see if they are a grey import or not. Grey import = most likely no AppleCare+ purchase as it's already been registered, and no ACL rights at Apple Australia - standard 12 month warranty.

      • How can you tell if grey import? What will the serial check say?

  • Does anyone own the Gen 1 and Gen 2 versions? Curious about the real-life differences

    • +1

Lost my Gen1 and replaced with Gen2, people say there's a difference but I can't really tell tbh.

    • +1

Just the wireless charging. Sound wise it's the same for me. Apparently mic quality was meant to be better, but i've got no clue.

      • I'm half deaf so that's not gonna be a drama. I heard noise cancelling was a lot better, which would be good, but I'm not gonna upgrade yet. Thanks

  • Which ultimate giftcards work for officework? Doesn't seem like the him/her ones do.

    • Ultimate Students does. You can purchase for 5% saving through NRMA App

      • Would highly recommend against using these for a miniscule saving. A real headache to order, register and use.

  • I can confirm that Officeworks will price match this over the phone if you call the Customer line and indicate that you want to ask for a price beat. I ordered mine for $322.99 click and collect. Easy! 😃

    • Same here, no issues price matching at all over the phone. They also beat the price, $322.99, without my asking.

      • pls share your receipt?

    • pls share your receipt?

    • What number? Went in and they didnt price match because ow was 90c cheaper unless they recently lowered their price?

      • Yeah, just checked and OW have them now for $339 to negate the price beat. I guess too many people were getting them for $322…?

  • +2

    Currently $339 at Officeworks now

    • +1

Just went in and they didnt pricebeat because they were cheaper by 90c

  • Anyone have a gift card for sale that works at officeworks 10% off?

    • +1

Pricematch Officework's current price of $339 at JB Hifi. Then pay using Ultimate Gift Cards.

      • Thanks! Good idea but will hold out a few days to see if anyone has gift cards at officeworks for sale to save a couple more bucks. The ultimate gift card also comes in the form of points to redeem so not ideal.

This is legitimately not trolling. For AirPods fans, can anyone outline what areas these outperform something like the QCY T13 ANC's ($28)? I have a few pairs of those and the audio quality to me is better than all my other corded buds, and not far off my 8 year old corded Bose ANC cans.

Particularly seeing as buds are easy to lose, I find it fascinating that most people spend $330 on buds compared to high quality ones in the $30 - $50 range.

  • Was anyone actually able to get a price match? My officeworks didnt allow it because they were 90c cheaper..

    • They lowered their price so they don’t need to price match

      • -2

Wow, they would try to get around their own price beat policy
