[VIC] $25 Tickets to a Selection of Melbourne International Comedy Festival Shows @ MICF

700

$25 tickets for 25 hours!

Starts 11am Tuesday 6th February
Ends 12 noon Wednesday 7th February

I highly recommend Reuben Kaye in my completely biased opinion - I laugh until I'm hyperventilating in his shows and then I almost pass out from lack of oxygen. Best $25 I ever spent

(some booking fees apply depending on venue)

Selected shows, dates and performances only. Booking fees and charges apply. Different fees and charges will apply for tickets purchased through comedyfestival.com.au, venues and other ticketing providers. Please check with the ticketing provider for more information. A limited allocation of tickets are available for each show at the discounted price. If the allocation of discounted tickets is exhausted, the remaining tickets to the show will be available at the normal price.

hang on - is this a joke post?

    • You got to be kidding me.

Not much availability for Aaron Chen at the $25 price point, but managed to snag two. Thanks OP.

    • @achyd1 what day was the $25 for aaron chen?

      • Not sure if there are any left, but there are/were $25 tickets for 7, 9, 10, and 11 April. Go to those dates and filter the price down to $25. You'll be able to see what seats are available at that price on the seat map.

  • Sadly they fail to specify
    What shows are eligible
*Selected shows, dates and performances only.

    • +2

If you click on each performer and "show available dates", it'll show which dates have tickets at the discounted price.

Which is the point right? cski wants a list of who has the cheap tickets, rather than trawling through everyone hoping the one you select has cheap tickets.

        • +3

The performers listed in the URL are only those who have the cheap tickets. If you expand the "show dates" under each performer, it ONLY shows the dates where they have cheap tickets.

          • @fuzzybunn: Good stuff, perfect then

          • @fuzzybunn: Thats not working for me. I go through the link, page has the 25/25 banner then I click show dates under Best of Edinburgh Fest and all the dates shown are $39

            • @Gonltruck: Yea i only found 2 out of 15 i tried

          • @fuzzybunn: Not true actually because it never hide those these were exhausted very quickly

  • Thanks for the heads up!

    Too much swearing jokes …..

    • On all of the ~70 odd comics there??

"Game Boys" is an award winning show and is really really good = seen it multiple years in a row: https://www.comedyfestival.com.au/2024/shows/escape-to-the-m…

  • Thanks, bought will Anderson.

  • +2

Lawrence Mooney, Tom Gleeson and Arj Barker booked. Already had Aaron Chen tickets, sadly.

    Festival almost sorted, thanks OP.

  • not cheap bargain jokes, but laughs on the cheap bargain!

  • As a Sydneysider, I'm so (profanity) jealous.

    • As a Sydneysider, you should be used to being jealous of Melbournites

      • +8

As a Victorian resident, you should know the correct term is Melburnian.

        Hardly, #2. SYDNEY NUMBAH WANNNNNNNNNNNN!

    • The only reason the SYD Com Fest doesn't offer these sort of discounts is greed, pure and simple.

      • +1

Pretty much this. I wish they'd invest more in the arts.

Throwing my hat in for Two Hearts—saw them at the show last year and they were excellent. High energy musical duo, great for capping off a night of shows.

  • Been waiting for cheap tickets to Josh Thomas for a while thanks OP!

  • It doesn't work properly for all shows, I could find no $25 for Wankerenomics, so I just paid $30 🤷‍♀️

Mooney is so bad, had a shocking show recently

If you are into Reuben Kaye then check out this interview, if you haven’t already heard it.

    Definitely NSFW.

First time I got to see him was Promotix, then he became well known. His act is so honest and open as well as being hilariously funny. No $25 tickets left for him.

  • +1

Yeah, Reuben Kaye is great - hopefully his show this year is full of new material though, the last few years there's been too much overlap imo.
Lots of great acts for $25! Some have sold out already (Wankernomics, Aaron Chen etc) but still plenty of decent seats available Rhys Nicholson, RAW GF, Shitfaced Shakespeare etc!

Would be keen as on the following:

    Aaron Chen
    Anne Edmonds
    David Correos
    David O'Doherty
    Ed Byrne
    Fakkah Fuzz
    Fern Brady
    Guy Montgomery
    Melanie Bracewell
    Ray O'Leary
    Will Anderson

I needs a rich daddy now.

We have the same taste in comedy. Saw Melanie last year, was great. I've booked Guy Montgomery. Will likely book Fern Brady and Lloyd Langford. Really looking forward to seeing Blake Pavey but he's not on the $25 promo.

      • Wait I didn't see Lloyd on the list! Might have to do a Melbourne trip around festival time next year or something. :(

  • +2

Personally I try and look for lesser known acts, since you will always end up seeing the well known ones on TV anyway.

    • +1

      Look at Promotix then.

      • Yeah saw Sam Morrill in Sydney for free from Promotix. Wasn't as good as I had hoped, but was nice being out.

        • +1

It can be a bit hit and miss with the artists but worth taking a risk for the price. Provided they aren’t obnoxious I try to be encouraging even if they aren’t that great. Social contract for cheap price.

    • +1

      Hugessy has lost it!

    • +1

you need to get out more

  • Damien Power & Heath Franklin as well, noice

  • Got some Lloyd Langford tickets, cheers OP

  • Went to get some tickets… website isn't working. Partner tried on their computer, same result. System failure.

I didn't realise the LOLs would be so immediate.

    • Known error, ref: their fb page chat.
