“ First time poster, pls be gentle.”

Ok.. Are you enjoying it though?

Yes. Especially because you are thoughtful enough to check in.

  • so many versions, what's good/bad?

  • Other than the obvious size difference, how does it compare to this? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/831530

Read and write speeds on the one you linked are lower and not guaranteed to sustain the advertised transfer rates that the pro plus has listed.
Real world tests probably need to be used to verify this. However, on paper the pro plus is the better performer.

  • Tell me why this isnt good for dash cams people

This might work just fine but go for the pro endurance to be safe.. dashcams do constant deleting/writing obviously plus the heat element so you want the best quality and durability not the speeds. I am not exactly sure what the technical differences are but I am sure you will find information if you google it.
I paid $34 (was $24 at times) for 256gb samsung endurance from amazon US. So just wait out for a better deal or pay up. You don’t want your dashcam to fail when you need it.

    • It's most likely fine. With a small chance for the data to get corrupted or the card to fail.
If the dashcam video isn't super important, then it will be fine.

Also interested if this is good for dash cam or DJI Drone.

I already use this on my action 4 for 4k recording without any issues.
