    skyradar

I mean..it will probably be fine..

but 122 only feedback, calls themselves skyradar on amazon ..but has a logo for 'tristar online' - interesting.

I never though id say it but id feel a little more comfortable getting it through kogan, the listing looks like it is directly sold through Kogan.

    • I guess there's the benefit of it being via Amazon so they'll hold them accountable if any issues were to arise, but fair fair

true, the real play would be to be in a position where you had discounted amazon cards (like many ozbargainers do)

If you've run out you can always top up with Macquarie

Make sure you check the reviews of the seller!

Lots of complaints and the seller is using the excuse of Amazon handling the shipping to wipe them out, even though the issues are with what's in the box, not how the box was shipped.

I bought mine a couple of weeks ago from Skyradar on Amazon and its been awesome. In my experience Amazon will handle any warranty/ACL issues if the seller nopes out.

lol skyradar. Good luck with that. I'd put more trust in three brothers.

Return and refund via Amazon would be peace of mind when issue arise.

    • would amazon say this is not sold but us so please contact seller for any issues/return/refund?

      • If within the return timeframe, you can just request return direct from Amazon. Its simple. If its out of return period but still underwarranty, request return with the seller or contact support team to do so. Amazon has amazing customer protection policy so try to utilise that.

    HODL.

The price is down to around $1230 on eBay. Just wait for the next decent 15-22% off code.

    • +6

They’ll just jack the price up when we get a code though

      • +2

Get in early before Jack arrives.

You can also get it from MyDeal or BigW if you want. https://www.bigw.com.au/product/valve-steam-deck-oled-512gb-…

      Tristar, same seller.

I know. Just if you want to deal with a big brand instead of online store.

        • +2

Amazon is a bit bigger than Big W

        • +1

Just if you want to deal with a big brand instead of online store.

You won't be dealing with BigW at all. Besides from taking your payment, BigW has zero involvement.

Our Marketplace Seller will manage and support your order, including shipping and handling, exchanges and returns. Postal returns only.

        • I see. I see.

        • Please note that big store like BigW, Bunnings, Woolworths has allowed 3rd party seller to be on their online website, so please check who is the seller is.

  • Bought a barely used one for $999. Seems like a great deal compared to buying them new. Probably worth the warranty sacrafice.

Are you saying you saved about $200 to buy a second hand steam deck with no warranty and you think that's good value?

      • No warranty on a highly repairable device with accessible parts. Not sure what your experience with warranties are but they aren't exactly hassle free.

Down to $1126 on eBay from a big seller.

Post it as a deal mate, that's a great price (maybe lowest I've seen for the 512gb model).

      • +1

        You have my blessing.

I'll post it when it hits under $1000 because that's when I'll be buying one.
