    Can someone clarify - if I use $40 of store credit, will I be eligible for cashback on the remaining purchase amount? The terms and conditions are confusing… and now I’m not sure if the store credit will nullify the entire cashback or just the store credit component.

      Generally cashback eligibility is an all-or-nothing deal. If you use store credit I wouldn't expect any cashback at all.

    I just called Good Guys and they confirmed that price-matched purchases are not eligible for the ShopBack cashback. Only applicable to full-priced (as on the GG website) prices.

    After looking at Cashrewards T&C's too this seems to be standard practice. Not eligible for "[p]urchases using any type of discount which lowers price advertised on the Merchant site, including but not limited to employee discounts, student discounts and price-matching."

    Bummer.

            @Torium01: Hey mate, if a price-beat discount is applied automatically, this shouldn't affect Cashback. So long as the price isn't negotiated over the phone or via TGG chat or via an external site or anything like that, and the price has just been lowered on the website as part of their price-beat policy, this should be fine. As this is lowered automatically by the store, this is now the listed/advertised price for the item.

            I think the rep from TGG you spoke to mate would have been referring to prices that they adjust for you and quotes they send out for items, that will could as a discount and is likely to invalidate Cashback @sina566

        I think that’s referring to the automated price beat button that’s visible on the website

        If it’s done by a TGG rep over the phone, they’d need to send a link through which you can’t access via cashback sites as the URL is different

    Looks like I'm buying two of everything I purchased as there's been no definitive response about the auto price beat function. This seems like a lot of mucking around for TGG all because we don't don't if a $5 auto price match voids the $100s of cashback.

      That’s only for ShopBack Pay (Instore transactions for cafes etc) that you would need to make a second transaction. For this TGG, no.

                @twig: Unfortunately couldn't say with certainty as these claims are reviewed by the store directly - when Cashback doesn't track we will register the click but the purchase details and Cashback need to be reported to us by the merchant.
