I had a quick look at the old deals and they mentioned the Sofirn SC18 - I had a look on amazon and sure enough there was a 40% coupon. YMMV.

    • +2

I also just got the SC18 for ~$25. Can say it’s an amazing torch for the price.

      • Yeah that's good. IFA22 is going for $42 on the Amazones atm as well.

    • Link? I can’t see it with a coupon?

      • +1

He probably bought it on aliexpress ,
Sofirn prices on amazon are stupid xe .
Almost like resellers are trying to make more out of less sales .

I would wait for a good deal at aliexpress and use a new account so you get the welcome discount as well .
Then get a better/brighter torch like the SC31 or IF22 like others have mentioned .

    • +1

Where is link, cant see 40% off coupon!

    • Only 35% showing for me 😕

    • So this or SC18? They are about the same price…

      • the sc18 is like $20 aud on the sofirn website after 20% discount code

        • +1

$27 with delivery, which is a $1 cheaper than Amazon.

          • @rickb: yah true

free delivery over $50 tho, if anyomne was gonna buy other stuff too or multiples

        • I feel like you are doing everything to avoid answering the actual question. Without the price being a factor, which is better do you think?

          • +1

@Larsson: no idea, only have had the wuben c3.

I was thinking about buying the sc18, but there was a review where they measured the lumens, and its about 50% overstated. the 1.8k lm turbo mode is about 1.2k

decided to just get another wuben c3 instead lol.

Link to review with the lumens test.

I have the Wuben C3 and like it, but I am starting to prefer the Sofirn UI.

Seems like Amazon is doing a few deals on torches at the moment. My favourite (thrower) is the Sofirn IF22A for $42.99. It has been cheaper, but not for a while.

I've got the IF22A as well as this C3 and the Sofirn heats up like a mofo. Good throw though!

  • I bought one of these about a year ago and it's awesome but it does get pretty hot around the led after even a short use. For the price it is a great buy and works well for camping or using as a grab and go around the house and yard e.g. in case of powercuts etc

    • I was just thinking about the power outage in Melbourne…

      • I bought some Olight Obulbs for blackouts and everyday use. Paid $25 each on ebay with 40% discount. 40 hours on low illumination.

  • What y'all thought y'all wasn't gon' see me?

I'm the Osiris of this $#!*

    Wu-Ben is here forever, mother@#$%^&~

finaly, i have been waiting for a deal on Wuben C3 Rechargeable Flashlight 1200 Lumens for years now

  • +5

I own 3 of these. Sent one to my brother for his birthday.
Hilarious to send your brother “Reuben” a “Wuben”

Gets pretty warm near the LED on high, but it’s a great torch that throws a lot of light when you need it and the right amount (adjustable levels) when you don’t.

  • My Wuben C3, L50 and Sofirn SP40 dont charge properly anymore, goes green after a few minutes. Might have to get new batteries and a proper charger

  • Despite very limited use, the battery has died within one year!
    Avoid

    • You need to keep on using it and charging it. Batteries can degrade overtime.

    • +1

You can change the battery. Battery type is 18650, it's very common so can buy anywhere.

If it’s within a year return it for a refund or replacement ..
You probably got a dud battery .
Even without conditioning , it should last a year easily ,
unless you left it on your dash in the sun .

    • My C2 did the same, you'd expect the battery to last a bit longer.

  • You got to love the new Wubenben which is the V2

  • How long the battery last under full brightness

  • So what battery does this use?, the link says cr123a

    • +1

      18650 Lithium Battery

Doesn't seem like a deal to me. Once you factor in shipping, the price is only $2 cheaper than that of the cheapest local seller on eBay.
