Bigger difference is that the Telstra deal is for aluminium, not stainless steel. Big difference in the latter model especially considering the upgrade to sapphire crystal glass.

Absolutely true. My sports S8 cover glass is scratchy as hell after less than a year of use.

Can’t edit my other reply, just wanted to add that if you’re after the aluminium version then I agree that the Telstra deal is good!

      • Absolutely agree with that.

My 79 dollar amazfit bip (2016) has gps. Who in their right mind would spend a 1000 dollars on a smart watch? Seriously, people are havingcost of living crisis and then this?

      Here we go again…

    • Some people are not and some people are… them those apples.

Unfortunately not everything in life is free…

Took me a while to save up for a new video card and even then I was uhmming and arrringg about it.

    • And of all I wanted was GPS then your option might be OK, however my watch does so much more.

Personally I wouldn’t buy the SS watch because I’m happy with my aluminium one. However, I thought some people might be interested because this is a genuine discount on normal.

I’m sure there are other posts you can go complain about. The Lego posts must drive you nuts. “But they are only plastic bricks”.

      • Hey, not downplaying you or the deal. It was just my opinion. Each to his/her own.

    • If you're affected by the cost of living crisis, why did you spend $79 on a watch with GPS when you shouldn't be going anywhere?

    • +2

The cost of living crisis clearly isn’t effecting everyone. What’s actually happening is the demise of the middle class and the gap between low and high income earners is become much larger. You’re either struggling to make ends meet or have enough disposable income to burn on items you probably don’t need, such as you say, $1000 smart watches. You also need to consider that Apple products hold their value better than its competitors so people have the peace of mind that it can be easily sold for a decent price.

        • Actually you didn’t say something similar.
