25
Discountbb

At CPK Web Services we've slashed the prices of our basic Business Internet plans.

You can get our NBN Starter plan for as little as $75 per month. Our business internet plans come with unlimited bandwidth and a publicly routible static ip address.

As an exclusive deal for OzBargain participants we've slashed $5 off for six months on all our basic business internet plans. This makes the starter plan $75 for six months and the Medium plan $85 for six months.

The business hours speed on the Starter plan is 25/5Mbps and the Medium plan is 50/20Mbps. You can read more at the website or in the Critical information summary which will be emailed out to you on sign up.

Our Large plan is $110 for the first 6 months, this gives you 100Mbps download and 40mbps upload.

We also offer business phone systems and can offer higher speed options if required just email [email protected] for info.

Use the Coupon code in the body of the email when emailing [email protected] and we can get you setup with affordable business broadband.

What network providers do you use?
We have access to most of the major providers in Australia including Swoop Wholesale peering from Ix Australia as well as transit from TPG and our Premium plans give you access to Telstra and a range of high quality providers.

This deal is focused on our basic NBN offering which doesn't include 4G or 5G backups if this is a requirement we can provide this for a slightly higher cost.

This deal also doesn't include Opticomm plans.

Total minimum cost for the Medium plan is $510 for the six months and the Starter plan is $450 for the six months.

Plus a $50 setup fee is payable. No termination fees will be payable if you decide to cancel after the 6 months.

This deal does not include the cost of hardware and only covers standard NBN installs on FTTN, FTTP, FTTC, HFC and Fixed Wireless. SkyMuster isn't included at all in this deal.

Do I get an ongoing discount for bundling multiple services?
Yes we offer loyalty discounts for customers that bundle multiple services such as business phone systems and Microsoft 365 managed services along with the broadband. So if you spend over $1000 per year with us we automatically give you 10% off. This figure grows the more you spend so if you took out an NBNEE plan for $350 per month plus a business phone system the discount would be 15% or 20% depending on spend. This discount is annual and applies to your services automatically.

    Store in title rep

    • This was fixed by a moderator I think.
      Its listed now anyway.

  • Yes correct that is meant to say per month.

  • +2

    Thanks for the advertisement.
And for the laugh: 25/5 might be enough for a business that doesn't own a computer. Not anyone else.

    • We can do higher plans as stated including 1000/50Mbps. We just don't advertise everything because NBNCo and the ACCC come down pretty hard on us smaller providers if speeds can't be met and a lot of the country is still on FTTN which can only do 100Mbps and NBNEE is rather expensive for smaller businesses. I decided against offering the 12Mbps speed tier at all because that speed is just too slow for much at all. At least 25Mbps can handle basic payments and a bit of email its really aimed at 1 person businesses that don't use the internet for much. Generally we push 50Mbps and above for any serious businesses with multiple employees.

  • The title has now been fixed.

    • Great. Now, go fix the grammatical errors and spelling mistakes on your website.

      • I missed this comment before, the entire website is due for an overhall within the next few months.

Why should I move from my current provider, More, which offer 250/25 for $74/mth?

    • -1

Well their parent company Tangerine telecom was breached fairly recently and customers details were placed on the dark web including names and addresses and phone numbers as well as dates of birth. Not a good look for a company part owned by the Commonwealth bank. Also they use Vocus as their primary network who are well known for having congestion at the best of times. Our service is business grade and fully redundant and we don't resell Vocus at all. Also all customers details are stored offline and as a managed web services provider offering hosting and design services as well as being an ISP security is our number one priority rather then having the cheapest price. But obviously I still want our pricing to be competitive with other managed service providers to that end we are a lot cheaper then the likes of Telstra.

      • Tangerine doesn't even have Opticomm sevices. ChatGPT reply ?

        • We can provide services on Opticomm but the plans are more expensive as the fees they charge for access are higher then NBN.
The actual plan costs are about the same but the new development fees can be high.

Sorry OP, Aussie Broadband (a beloved provider on OzB) offers:

    • $85.00/month for 50/20 (vs. your $90.00/month with a $5.00/month discount for six months)
    • No connection fee (vs your $50.00)
    • No lock-in contract (vs. your minimum six months - or 12 months as listed on your website? What's with the discrepancy?)

They also let you sign up via self-service, and you also don't have a CIS listed anywhere (your post says you provide it once the customer signs up?)

    • Just to correct this actually it renews at $81 per month if you spend over $100 per month bundling other services such as a business phone system for $30 per month.
Basically the more you spend with us per year the larger the loyalty discount.

  • Yes we email out the Critical information summary as it depends on what other services the business wishes to include, if they purchased our Managed PBX for $110 a month as an example we could extend the discounted broadband for 24 or even 36 months. The 6 months is just a baseline deal.
Also if you have multiple sites that you wanted to connect up we can either discount or get rid of the setup fee altogether.

  • Oh also their isn't any termination fees on our basic 12 month plans on the website anymore. As long as you provide notice at the start of the 6th month that you want to leave you are free to do so.
With the 12 month plans you can just give us 30 days notice and your free to go. Only issue is if you have 5G or 4G backup services through us or NBNEE which is a 36 month contract or 12 months minimum or if you have a bundled phone service which are under contract.
Our basic NBN services now are month to month we just mention the 12 months for when bundling other services that are contracted.

  • Just to explain the deal is for 6 months then on the 7th month the plan reverts to the costs that are listed on the website.
The deal isn't listed on the website as its exclusive for Ozbargain visitors.

  • Just to mention as well the Basic plans are no longer under contract, the website does mention these can be terminated during the 12 months. The plans that are under contract are our Premium plans, these come with either 4G or 5G backup connectivity from Telstra as well as a floating static IP so connectivity isn't interrupted during an NBN outage.
These can only be purchased for a minimum of 12 months and come at a higher price then our Basic plans.

No SLA's listed, no call centre hours listed, no ABN listed.

As mentioned above, higher tier providers can be had for the same price or cheaper that include better services.

    • Hi Our call center times are listed on our About us page at www.cpkws.com.au/about.php and our contact methods are linked to that broadband page under the contact us link www.cpkws.com.au/contact-us.php . You can contact us from 10AM to 10PM Monday to Friday by phone on 03 52730246 or 03 90134853 or email [email protected] for technical support email [email protected] 24/7.
As for the Service Level Agreement its 99.9% its listed on our Why us page. We also provide the ESLA products from NBN co but not on our basic plans. You would either need to buy one of our Premium plans with 4G or 5G backup included or one of our Fibre plans NBNEE that come with the ESLA from NBN Co.
You need to be running a business to sign up for our plans we require an ABN or ACN number.

  • How is this different than a normal nbn with another company like telstra or More

    • Our network is far superior as our services aren't tied to one specific provider.
We don't just offer NBN we sell Fibre from both TPG and Telstra as well plus our services are fully managed so you can get your business broadband website hosting email and collaboration services and your business phone system on the same bill. Plus unlike Telstra you don't need to wait on the phone for ours to receive customer service.

  • Why is this Business Broadband? Isn't the same backbone used for both home and business users in NBN? What are you trying to achieve here?

    • No its not, Our services are aimed at businesses only we offer these basic plans which are on TC4 NBN, but the network is fully redundant with multiple fibre links in each state. However we can also offer business grade Fibre from Telstra and TPG, you can't buy this as a residential customer its only sold to business customers.
We also sell NBNEE Enterprise Ethernet which is aimed at larger businesses as you need to have an ACN or ABN to buy it. Though you can buy it if you have a home based business but its expensive as it includes enterprise level SLAs.

      • Do you have a TC2 profile or is it just TC4? What's is your POI presence?

        • We can service all 121 POIs across Australia and yes we can do TC2 as well as TC4 but TC2 has largely been replaced with NBNEE as that is full Fibre where as TC2 was offered through the copper network.

  • Oh as for the ABN Number not being listed, its in the footer of the home page of the website.
Its also on all receipts and invoices.

    • I was gonna +1 this deal just because of how diligently you were replying, but you got a bit sloppy with this reply. The ABN is not on every page of the website.

      • Yeah it was originally in the footer, I upgraded and added a lot of info to the site a few years ago, but it hasn't had much done to it for a while.
I'm planning a complete redesign later in the year.

  • Cabbage Patch Kids?

  • this is not a deal

    • To be blunt about this, I am not running some fly by night operation like Zoom and Epic broadband and all those others were, where not aiming to be the cheapest in the market.
Our main competitor is Telstra as where based in regional Vic where the majority of people just go straight to Telstra as that is the only brand name they know. Our plans are significantly cheaper then Telstra's and competitive with the other smaller players give or take a couple of dollars.
This business has been around for 15 years and I intend for it to be around another 15 years at least.
      Maybe longer.

      • i manage very large networks across the country NBNEE, i've yet to see competitiveness in your pricing. if you were to offer an amazing 100/100 for resi's then it would be a deal

        • I'll take a look in the morning and see what I can do on the 100Mbps plan in terms of NBNEE. But you still need to have a registered business to order it though as its not available for residential use gaming etc.

          • @Chaddy: As I just said $350 a month would be the cheapest we can do for NBNEE maybe $300 if you don't care about redundancy but then that kind of defeats the purpose.

  • Your speeds seem low, on ABB home plan on 100mbps I get up to 106mbps peak times and 18/19 out off 20mbps

    • Those are just the base speeds we advertise, we can do 100Mbps/20Mbps for $104 per month and our upload speeds are over provisioned so you would get over 20Mbps upload speed.
I have been conservative listing the speeds on the website because if someone complains they aren't getting the advertised speeds the fines can be huge and would send a small provider like us broke. So i'd rather over deliver with the actual product then advertise great speeds that we might not be able to deliver because we get a business owner who can only get 50Mbps but they sign up for a 100Mbps plan that the copper line just can't deliver.
This will be the case until everyone gets Fibre.
As stated we can also deliver NBNEE which is a symmetrical service where you can get a 100Mbps plan for both upload and download up to 1000Mbps 1GBPS.
In fact in some areas we can deliver 10GBPS Fibre through TPG.
So even quicker speeds then the NBN.
This deal will also go live on the website tomorrow morning, I wanted to launch the deal on Ozbargain first to make sure all the wording and the pricing was good to go.

  • Deal is now listed on the website along with our NBN Large plan which gives you 100Mbps/40Mbps for just $110 per month for the first 6 months.

  • This thread is like a portal into Whirlpool 🤣

    • Its not quite that bad. Cheapest we can do NBNEE 100Mbps /100Mbps would be $350 per month on a 36 month contract. No setup or install fees.
That includes Telstra 4G or 5G backup with a floating static IP.
I wanted to make sure all the pricing and everything was included in the Ozbargain thread first before going live on the website as with the last few deals i've posted a while ago people complained about not having pricing included. Deal is now on the website as well.

      • Superloop is 100/100NBNEE is $285…. as mentioned no deal here.

        • Yeah but Superloop don't include 4G or 5G backup with a floating static IP, where as we do. So if some idiot digs up your Fibre in the street, happens all the time because people are too stupid to check, and your NBN goes down our services automatically switch to the backup internet without you having to do a thing. Also this deal doesn't even include NBNEE as its on a 3 year contract. So your total outlay for NBNEE with us would be $300 for 3 years you are also required to pay out the contract if you leave early.
Only our basic NBN services are part of this deal.
So your total cost for NBNEE through us would be around $11000.

          • @Chaddy: Just something else to note as well, all our NBNEE plans are on High QOS so you get the NBN 4 hour SLA 24/7 with all of our NBNEE plans.

        • How many sites are you managing? We can probably do some sort of bulk discount for multiple sites.
You also need to remember that NBN pricing is all zone driven so you pay more in regional areas then you do in metro ones.

  • Gosh.. Please outsource your Web Design to make it more comprehensive & appealing.

    • I didn't think the look of the site was that bad, that said I have replaced our design team over the last year or two.
Finding really good graphic designers is harder then it looks.

  • Just updated this to include our loyalty discounts which are applied for customers that spend over $1000 per year and that stay with us longer then 12 months.
As in after 12 months the discount is automatically applied.
So this would make the Medium plan $81 per month and the Large just $108 per month.
The starter plan isn't included in this as its already cheap. Considering you get a proper static IP with it as well.

  • Were you a photocopier salesman in a previous life? The obfuscation here is next level.

Anyone who has had to deal with a photocopier company will understand that reference. "You know that amazing machine we sold you 6 months ago? The one that you have a contract of $40k over the next x years? Not what if I told you, I could buy you out of that contract, get rid of that piece of ****, and get you into a slightly refurbished better machine at only $150 extra a month, and we'll cover the first three months of consumables, up to 5% coverage and only lock you into our new premium service plan for 12 months. After that, there's a maintenance plan to keep up the labour warranty on the machine."

    • No I wasn't.
If a customer only has broadband with us then the cost will go back to $90 per month after the six months, but if they choose to contract for at least 12 months after the six months is up the broadband fee can be further reduced to $81 per month.
But they need to be spending $100 per month to get the 10% discount the loyalty discount doesn't just apply to our broadband services it works with our Managed website hosting services or our Microsoft 365 offerings as well.
That discount is for the life of the account.

  • You need to set up your website properly before you start offering services. From your website:

"Critical information summery (sic) which will be emailed to the account holder on sign-up"

    From ACMA website:

"Every telco must have a Critical Information Summary (CIS) on their website for each product, service and plan"

So even that alone, you are contravening ACMA. You need to have it on the website - the customer should be able to access this BEFORE signing up.

  • Just to update this, I've got a PDF template ready to go for this, i'll update the Critical information summaries for the basic plans tomorrow.
Not everything we sell is listed on the website as the NBNEE pricing as an example is all custom quoted depending on what other services the customer wants they might need more then one location quoted as an example which adds a lot to the price. Hence why we'll still email out the CIS, but in terms of compliance I'll update the basic plans.
Plus our business phone systems are quite heavily customizable as well so they are also custom quoted.

  • Just to update this the spelling on our actual Critical Information Summaries that we have sent to customers is correct, not quite sure what happened with the spelling on the website but I'll fix that tomorrow as well.
Also for any plans that aren't listed on the website that need a CIS these are emailed to the customer before any invoices are sent out for payment of services so we do allow some time for customers to read the CIS before proceeding.

  • Just to update this, I've corrected the vague wording on the website to explain that the CIS is emailed out as part of the sign up process. For all plans, as a lot of our plans are heavily customisable, one business might only need a simple Voip handset as an example where as another business might require a phone system with 200 extensions.
So the quotes vary a lot.
But I'll still post the CIS docs for our basic plans tomorrow up on the site to give customers an idea of what they are in for.

  • Just to update this I am just working on the Critical information Summaries as we will have some new larger business NBN plans available very shortly including the 250/100 MBPS plan as well as the 500/200Mbps plan plus we will also be making the 1000/400Mbps plan available for customers on Fibre and some HFC sites. The CIS for the three existing plans should be online shortly. In the mean time you can email [email protected] to order services and we will email you a custom CIS with all the plan details included, this will be done for every customer that orders services you will have access to the basic CIS on the website but will be emailed out a copy with all the options you have chosen. This is the easier way of doing things given the amount of customisation with our business plans.
We allow time for you to read the Critical Information summary before the order is placed.

    • are you pitching these to businesses? like many have said, web site does not look very professional.

      • All our services are business to business.
I think the issues you are having with the website is browser or settings related as it works fine on all the devices I have tested with including both PC's and smart phones.
I thought you were just saying the design was rather plain before which its meant to be.
I have a vision impairment which is why sometimes some things don't quite line up correctly especially on the older designs.

        • You can view our case studies for our design services at www.cpkws.com.au/case-studies.php however our design services are not part of this deal, as this deal only involves our NBN services.

  • Apologies for the long worded updates on this, but the CIS documents are now live on the website at www.cpkws.com.au/businessinternet.php when ordering services you will still receive a copy of the Critical information summary by email as it will contain all the services you have ordered unless your order only contains Microsoft 365 email services or web hosting or domain names which are not required to have a CIS. But any telecomms services you order from CPK Web Services will have a Critical information summary emailed to you with the full cost of all services.
If you order a bundled website hosting and broadband package then the hosting costs will be included within the CIS.
Let me know if you have any further questions.

  • Not sure what people are on about with the menu playing up on small screens, on a mobile device you should get the normal menu Icon that you get on mobile devices the image with the three lines going across it and once you tap on that a separate gray menu pops up with the main navbar for the site.
As I said the other day it is due for a redesign.
