@Tacooo: I'm going to have to come Mondorock's defence here. First-party Nintendo games are AAA games. Even Animal Crossing. They're in a different category, sure.
I just bought a Switch. The Zelda series are a masterclass in gaming design. Same with Mario. Same with Pokemon.
But also yes, I would love to be able to play Red Dead, GTA, Uncharted, Last of Us, etc on the go.
I just want to be able to find the time to play everything I want to.
@BadGiraffe: I just couldn't play rdr2 and AAA games on handheld .
I prefer my UW OLED with headphones and 160 fps to enjoy my games
Handheld is for platformers and chill games

Honestly I'd prefer steam deck, given the performance on the go is actually better on steam deck, and there's the better screen, better software, better ergonomic, and battery life….
Like, performance on the go and battery is everything for these type of device…. If on battery performance is the same then it doesn't make a difference….

Can someone comment please, a fair amount of my games library are from origin, and EPIC - esp those I’d like to play on the Deck - I know it’s possible to play these using PC mode but can someone tell me if it’s a frustrating process, or is installing Heroic/Lutrix a pretty plug and play and painfree process and once done, is it instant play into game on/off for these non steam platforms ?? Because although its supposedly “easy” for some tech savvy people, running arcade emulators on my desktop has been such a difficult and annoying process with incomplete files, data dumps, .exe and game files suddenly disappearing, game settings resetting each time, that I find sometimes it’s taking me more time fiddling with settings than actually playing the game, and I want the Deck to be a simple turn on, click and play, turn off affair.
Appreciate anyone’s opinions on thisCan't comment on Origin but Epic is easy as.

Install the Epic Game Store in desktop mode, run it in console mode and use it as you would the Windows version!

This thread has been awesome to give me some ideas on other games to play on the deck. Reaching the conclusion of Valkyria Chronicles now which I couldnt get into on my PC but has been a winner on the deck.
Really interested in giving Dave the Diver a go.

Anyone have the dock or tried using the docking feature? What is it like and and it's it as easy as using the Nintendo Switch (regarding docking) or is there more to it?
Struggled hard deciding between the ROG Ally and this but decided to pull the trigger on the Steamdeck. I just don't think I can use a non-OLED display these days!

Picture quality = Steam Deck. OLED is just too good.
Haptics = Portal.
If you want to play outside your home Wifi, it requires a bit of setup.

hey guys i dont have a pc I'm thinking of buying one for gaming but price is an issue. should I get this instead? the games I'm planning on using it for are not that graphically demanding. can I use it as a PC connected to a monitor with keyboard or should i just buy a PC?

always thought windows would be easy to download,install and run the games and troubleshoot issues vs steamdeck . but love the steamdeck UI.. wonder if there is anything like that for windows
You could run Steam in Big Picture mode on the LeGo.
Or playnite.

Thanks! Yeah I’ve seen a few vids which need very low settings. I considered the ROG Ally, but I want a hassle free experience and I’m not too fussed on the graphics - I can get my fix from the desktop
