In my excitement of seeing a new Wuben EDC flashlight I jumped the gun in posting the other day and it wouldn't ship to Australia. That now appears to be fixed and the discount is still valid.

This one has two cool white Osram P9 6500K emitters and it's able to produce up to 1800lm of brightness for the first minute before dropping down. The other modes are high (400lm), medium (150lm), low (5lm), as well having strobe and SOS. It has a magnetic base and a clip for mounting, IPX8 water resistance recharges via USB-C.

There's additional accessories (not included) like a battery extender allowing you to use an 18650 battery instead of 18350, a headband strap and a motion sensor for toggling the light on the strap.

    Here's a review from a fellow ozbargainer. https://timmcmahon.com.au/posts/wuben-e7/

    The output does drop off quite a bit. 1800lm (1 min)> 800lm (1 min) > 400lm (1h)

"The Wuben E7 should be recalled"

      Hmmmmm…

    • They did that so to prevent it from frying your skin.

      • And killing the battery.

      • It's more to do with the tiny battery. I've got a flashlight that does like 17,000lm, that's a spicy meatball.

Becomes pretty expensive once you start adding accessories (headband, gesture sensor, extension tube, etc).

Already own the X0, so was hoping the gesture sensor worked with it (the headband is compatible though).

  • does anyone know if the headband is included or you have to purchase that separate.

    • +3

      Purchase separately for $15.69

      • i see thank you

  • Must Resist The Temptation =(

  • I don't get the motion sensor. if you have to reach up you might as well hit the switch.

It's for if your hands are full/dirty.

      • It's IPX8 (can be submerged) so I don't think dirty hands are going to be a problem. If it's on the headband you'll have trouble waving it with your hands full anyway.

I might get the headband at some stage but I personally don't see the need for the sensor in my case.

I do like that it's got a magnetic base. I have a few lights like that and it's very useful feature.

        • Let's say youre fixing your car and your hands are covered in grease. That's where it would be useful.

Got mine delivered today. Bit strange it would not charge with a USB C to C PD charge cable I had. Needed to use the charging cable that came with the unit. Wound up charging the battery on a Nitecore charger I had. Looks like a good unit, plan on using it while walking when daylight savings ends.

  • Yes but this costs more than the torch. Not sure if I need it. Will it be cheaper overtime?

Nice more cheap Chinese brand lights never claim what it says on those descriptions always low than those claims, false advertising at its best. Need to do research on these before buying.

They do have disclaimers for this kind of thing. The short version being that it's up to X lumens and different testing methods yield different results (blatantly obvious).

    • Im more worried about efficiency and how hot they get while performing those claimed outputs.
Some torches are quite impressive on paper but just not practical….
Have you got any links to reviews you've seen?

Bought one and don't even know why lol

      OzB membership renewed.

    • Received it today. Pleasantly surprised - I can see it being very useful when working on the car, especially with the magnetic base and usb-c charging. Tempted to get another!
