the highland model is much better looking….

but these come with physical turing indicators….

    hard choice

    • +4

      And ultrasonic parking sensors.

    • The new one you better have good insurance. If you cannot see the obstacles the car will not able to see it as well.

      • what do you mean? how is it different from the old one?

  • +2

its like buying an old model knowing price will be coming down for newer model as well

    Demo Eneloops

The design of the new Tesla Model 3 is very anti-human, especially the gear shifting with screen swipes, and the turn signal buttons on the steering wheel. I think it's doomed to fail.

Fortunately, this is the older model.

    • +1

I agree with this. It is very counterintuitive.

    • Love my old Corolla. The design is very human, very easy to use.

Are these eligible for the govt rebate as demonstrator vehicle?

    • +1

according to this ATO response, it's eligible for FBT exemption. I found this thread when investigating this same situation late last year.
However being eligible for the rebate requires the dutiable value to be less than $68,000. So No rebate on this

      • Thanks. :-)

Lol 'm3' should be limited to BMW's m3. Tesla model 3 shouldn't be shortened to m3.

now who's faster on track 😜

not a fan of Tesla or BMW

      • +1

lol not a dispute between the cars, just on op's wording.
they are both fast, but both not practical in australia :P

      • +2

after 20 laps, probably the BMW, Tesla would be looking for a charge.

        • -1

The BMW would probably still be completing the 20 laps by the time Tesla was charging ;-)

          • +2

@rdhupar: But supercharging takes at least half an hour to charge so the BMW would overtake even after refueling.
I really wish there was a safe way to charge batteries as fast as it takes to fuel up. It would mitigate the most frustrating part of owning an electric

          • +1

@rdhupar: The Tesla would be charging after 5 laps so yes the BMW would be completing 20laps while the Tesla is charging.

        • looking at the price of premium today, the Tesla can take its time charging - I'd still be working to afford the fill-up to get the straight 6 down to the track!

(don't have an M3, but I'm crying in TT 2JZ)

  • $76000 for a car that can do 0-100 in 3.3 seconds is pretty amazing.

I wonder how many hard launches the cars have done when people are doing test drives and how this affects the cars in the long term.

I know some electric cars restrict the number of hard launches you can do so it must put strain on components.

$76000 for a car that can do 0-100 in 3.3 seconds is pretty amazing.

only when it comes to petrol cars unfortunately

With an milega of under 10? Not too many. They are brand new cars just sold as demo for tax reasons I guess.

      • +3

I read it as 10k km to mean 10,000km

    • I wonder how many hard launches the cars have done when people are doing test drives

I'd wager every single test drive. They do have a "test drive" model which limits them to 130km/hr. Found that when i drove one out at the bend lol

    explosive deal, ty op

  • +1

Battery is already 2 years old at least on those demo

    • that observation may ignite debate
