Shame there's no discounts for existing users. Xero is getting kinda pricey now
It is how they lock you in. MYOB doing same discounts. It is the long term cost of switching that is going to get you. It isn't like NBN or mobile plans.
Data migration is a really big problem especially if your book keeper / accountant decides to do some awesome things (like giving you a non standard chart of accounts)
I can tell you stories of how a top 25 ASX company migrated to new ERP (take a stab at whether it is Oracle / SAP)and the consultants decided to just throw the balance of the account from old system into new one and just call it "Data Conversion" and there you go $100m account balance. If you need to look at the records go and get the physical folders. That was awesome. Especially when they get paid like hundreds of millions.
