Free eSIM for Singapore - 22 Hours Layover

I have done a bit of research but no luck.

I have long layover in Singapore, 22 hours to be more specific. Got lounge access but don't wanna spend 22 hours in the lounge. Does anyone know any deal like/similar like https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/816934 or RedBull eSim 1GB Free Data. I just need data for map in SG.

Thank you,

You can download the map for offline use. I just tested it myself https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjIKj9jRecc

    yep, download for offline use

public wifi is pretty widespread, get the Wireless@SGx App

unless you know the MRT system well, you might also want some info about it (or get the grab app for transport)

but g-maps offline or maps.me works fine too

    • No Singapore unfortunately. Activated in Singapore but usage in Bangkok, Thailand.

      • FFS, i activated it and used it in Singapore, then also used in bkk next day.

        • Ohhhh I check the countries list and no singapore. Thank you

          • @AnyFurtherDiscount: You can select it manually using a box zoomed around the part of the world you want. That's how I tested it with Taiwan. Got the entire island in 440mb.

jv's referring to this deal for those eligible. Just used it few weeks ago, simple to set up and no issues.

  • OP there's also free SG tour offered at Changi airport to help you kill some time.

PS: You mentioned having lounge access but isn't there a time limit normally?

Changi airport to help you kill

      Sounds wrong…

    • Normally it’s time limited (3 hours max)… unless you have a connecting flight. Then it’s for the whole period between flights.

Mind you, it’s only for layover flights.

Not if you purchased two separate tickets…

  • does your existing carrier have any good roaming packages?
free public wifi is pretty ubiquitous at Changi/Jewel etc, if you don't plan to venture out of the airport you probably don't need a sim

Had a 22hr stopover each direction to Europe over Xmas, it would be too much to stay at the airport. Changi's a nice airport, but not a resort. You'd feel better along your journey getting a cheap hotel room too have a decent break. I did visit all of the OneWorld lounge while there, and I'd say QF First is not very good, Qatar lounge is best (smaller, quieter, a la carte dining and great showers).
