🤔What sort of liquid accidents are people having at their computer that they need this beast?

    • +1

Depends on what kind of games they're playing.

Other than the branding, you can get one much cheaper (it's 90cm vs 93cm though)

    • Thank you

  • The IKEA 90x40cm in plain or patterened is an alternative too. There's a smaller 36x44 cm mouse pad one too and they're pretty good quality.

  • Not worth price imo

People are still buying mouse pads? Who knew?

    • Yeah I prefer it to bare desk. I also find that my hands get super cold in winter on bare desk while mouse pad acts as insulation.

Everyone knew? I don't want my desk to get all scratched and scuffed by using a mouse on the bare desk.

      Why wouldn't they?

I prefer the feel of the mouse gliding on a pad rather than a bare desk, and also prefer the feel of the pad on my wrist as well.

This isn't like one of those centimetre thick foam mousepads with the textured plastic top surface like the 1990s. I can understand why no-one would want one of those.

My mouse pointer occasionally teleports when used on my bare desk.

Have owned one of these for probably 5+ years and pretty happy with it. Got it for a similar price to this.

The edge seam is starting to get a little ratty, but really only in the last 18 months, so it's help up well (probably would have held up better if my kids didn't use my PC as often).

Not sure what "spill proof" is meant to mean. Getting wet won't ruin it (but why would it if it's just fabric with a rubber backing?), but I do have a slight stain from the kids spilling a drink, luckily the pattern hides it well.

It's not the greatest, probably not the best value if you want to be a real scrooge about it, but it's decent enough for a reasonable price.

If someone doesn't want any graphics on their desk then I can recommend this one that you can just get from JB Hi-Fi.

  • OK for $20.
