Cathay: Business Class to Tokyo, Japan from $3388 Return, Economy from $909 Return (Ex SYD/MEL/ADL/BNE/PER) @ Beat That Flight

210

Like the Qantas sale, there are great prices to Japan on Cathay Pacific, both in Economy and especially in Business!

Cathay, like Qantas, is also a OneWorld member.

All flights include carry-on, checked luggage, wifi where available, food, movies and more.

Business includes lounge access, and use of their recently refurbished A350 business class on the long haul.

Flights via Hong Kong.

Note: Search results will likely show Virgin Australia even cheaper (~$2550 from some cities). Use the filters to choose Cathay (or airline of your choice).

Don't forget there are hotels on sale too.

  • Over 20hrs for a lot of these flights. Yeah, no thanks, I don't care how great The Pier is supposed to be.

ANA regularly has direct business class flights from Sydney on sale for ~$2900. Much better option for east coast residents. I live in SE QLD and have availed myself of one of their deals for a trip to Japan in September.

And congratulations for having an opinion?
For Qantas Frequent Flyers and Oneworld FFs this is a great option in order to earn points/SCs and use their attained status - I would much rather go CX and use my CLPO status to access the Pier than use my LX Sen status on ANA which has an inferior product to Cathay Pacific in my opinion, especially with the catering Ex Australia.

And 20 hours in a lie flat business class seat? You complaining, I would rather be able and enjoy the experience to be honest.

And you said you were in SE Queensland, which means you would have to backtrack to Sydney in order to catch an ANA flight? Talk about Mr Timewaster

Congrats on your opinion as well. Not sure what point you're trying to make with that comment but anyway…

An hour each way to Sydney plus a direct flight is still a lot less than 20+ hrs.

I will admit, I did forget about Oneworld status and Qantas FF people. Not sure it warrants the downvotes though lol.

I have no idea of what bullshit you are formulating with 'less than 20+ hours'

@AircraftFreight: Fair enough. I clicked through to the deals and the majority of the flights that came up were all 20+ hours. I shall commit seppuku for bringing shame to the OzBargain forums..

    • @Blokeinhisundies When did you get that? I have been looking for 6 months for cheap flights to Japan first week of September, to no avail.

    • I just want milk that tastes like real milk

I agree mate, 14-15 hours for what should be a direct flight of around 9 hours is a joke. Obviously someone who is retired, unemployed or simply has nothing better to do in life might find stuffing around worth it but not myself and I bet not many other people either.

Not sure why you got down voted.

You two guys arguing when your peanuts to me. Waste of time arguing either you like it or you don’t . With my LX sen and CLPON lol

  • I wonder if we can stay a few days in HK?

    • +1

There is checkbox you option on the Cathay website to do a stopover

  • Why TF is Perth $1000 more in Business Class?

    • Have a look at where Perth is on the map…….

      • If anything it should be cheaper….

        • Why? For a start it's a longer distance to fly and secondly would be harder to fill a plane load with pax on a regular basis.
