Then give them a small cash tip? I don't encourage tipping in Australia but if you know it's a big order and you are saving money due to a discount like this why not give a small tip in cash? Never tip through the app.

I say don't tip through the app because I don't want uber and others to start thinking "(profanity) yeah, Joe got a $2 tip, so let's drop the rate they get by $2 because everyone tips now". Basically the corporate bastards will (profanity) delivery drivers even more.

Yes but Sprite full cost around $4 counts for the minimum spend. So 7 or 8 Sprite plus $10 anything else should still get $20 promo

Remove 1 or 2 and you will get around a similar price to OP, albeit less quantity. I originally got the same price as you but when I removed 2, it dropped down to around $3.
The theory works out but the IGA just cancels.

Don't forget to change the setting to Don't replace, just give refund. You'll most likely have it as Best match which means you could be paying more money for a shittier substitute, if they don't have that amount of sprite.

I used the $20 off promo as well but they couldn’t find like 80% of the stuff so in a matter of fact, most of it was refunded and the $20 discount still applied even though you have to have a min spend of $50

I managed to get them to replace any sprites they don’t have with coke without swapping it on the app as if they swapped it on the app it would be normal price. And because the in store price Coke is cheaper than sprite. I just left a note not to refund and to swap with coke but not the change it on the app and they can keep the change.
The driver still needs to scan the items though. What did your receipt say?
I think the store collected the items. I too thought the drivers did it but the app said the items were being picked and items ready for pick up before the driver got there. Receipt said 12x sprite.
My experience:
If you leave the replacement option on, they will replace it with another item via the app but when the driver is on their way to ur house, Uber app gives you an option to accept or decline the replacement - if u press decline this adjusts the receipt and removes the swapped/replaced items from your order completely (so ie not charging you) and the uber driver will still deliver the items to you (they’re obviously not going to return to the store).
That was my oposite experience.
When they offered a replacement the driver was not there. When the driver picked up and left, the decline button was removed
