$3.95 delivery, sounds more than reasonable… but why are most other items shipped at terrible prices?

For example, a GPU cooler; $18.64 for purchase, $16.95 for delivery.

Or even a CPU heatsink; $13.22 for the item, $16.95 for delievery.

    Hi Jase,

Great point, we strive to have the widest range possible, but sometimes shipping can be prohibitive, we are trying to have more popular items in our store for pickup or cheaper shipping from us - as opposed to our suppliers.

Its a balance i guess, but we are working on it.

Good price for a good drive, just be wary that the speeds on this isn't outstanding (my friend has the 1TB USB3.0, i could find out the speeds if anyone is interested)

Some reviews if anyone is interested - http://www.amazon.com/HP-Desktop-External-Hard-Drive/dp/B004…

EDIT Officeworks have this drive for $99 instore, however if you pricematch you could get it down to $94.55

This may be a better option if there is a local OW near you, but delivered, you'd be better off going with megabuy.

Megabuy plays with you if you have received faulty items…so be careful guys from Megabuy. I bough a laptop from them and received it with broken screen. Than after I contact with them and than they said I have to contact with Samsung. Its looks like I have bought the laptop from Samsung funny yea.. It was a bad experience with them. They supposed to return or replace the laptop if the item is faulty and let them know within 7 days. But they kept saying I have to deal with samsung. And the guy from Megabuy replied me "I would like to direct you to the Samsung Warranty information directly from their website;". So be careful guys before you purchase from Megabuy.

    Hi Soton,

Apologies if you have had a run around,

Sometimes call centre operators from manufacturers try to get you off the phone and make up stories, we generally try to follow their guidelines and need a case number or something similar to solve a return.

send a query to [email protected] and cc [email protected] (returns manager) he can help you if you are still getting a run around.

    he will force the issue.

You can see the order details of the Order #180634..I am just tired of sending and reading your same email all the times…Dont want to send you any email anymore….Thanks

  • Rep, I have many times seen your store near the top of listings on Staticice, but always ignored those listings because I know the shipping fee kills the price.

I've just had a quick browse through your website, and EVERY SINGLE THING that I looked at said "no pickups".

Now that you have a retail shopfront in Brisbane, will the "no pickups" be disappearing, with everything available over-the-counter?

    Hi Russ,

we have about 500 lines in store at the moment. with more to come.

Like most retail/etail hybrid businesses we cant hold the full complement in store (80,000 odd lines)

SSDs, Asus laptops will land in store next week… :-)

  • click into this deal link Russ, it will show you how we indicate it now - on both online and instore products - check it out on staticice too - we indicate it in the name for products that are currently available in the store.

I can see that, but today I was looking for a new keyboard (amongst other things). You've got a huge range available, but particularly for a keyboard, a ~$17 shipping fee makes you uncompetitive.

Perhaps you could consider a model that some of your competitors use: order online, and get notified when your order is ready to be picked up. Even if it was next-day pick up, I think you'd see a huge increase in sales.

Megabuy again? Why are you still doing business? It took 1 and half month for a refund of DOA hard drive. Online support will get you waiting an hour. Wait forever to for support phone calls to be answered.

    • @ quaoer, exactly the same thing happened with my laptop …. They just kept saying I should contact with Samsung hahahaha….Anyway for me, I had good lesson from Megabuy….these guys never want to return or refund once the item sold…I had 5-6 emails from them kept saying I have to contact with Samsung…

Guys beware buying from megabuy, here's a link of bad personal experience.

  • Still waiting on my order megabuy! You took my payment yet have not updated order status as paid! Avoid megabuy you'll be mega-disappointed!
45min wait with live chat help they were still checking the order. Email and facebook replies make promises yet don't deliver!
Check the whirlpool and google megabuy experience! Avoid!
