For a non disc user for a loooong time, $50 woulda been a sweet spot. Some of the best action movies since The Raid. Bring it on!

      No it wasn't.

          No it wasn't.

        • considering it has the highest rotten tomatoes rating of all 4 - no it wasnt

          • @augernised: The staircase scene is the bloody highlight and oh, also the ultra cool overweight dude, he's something else alright.

            • @pacificstorm:

the ultra cool overweight dude, he's something else alright.

Killa Harkan, played by Scott Adkins. He really did a great job.

@augernised: Cmon man the supersuit removed all tension from it when you can eat bullets all movie its just not the same as the others when you were constantly worried about him dying etc.

The fights were super repetitive also especially the one against all the body armored guys.

The best fight was when they went top down view that one was filmed very well.

Him doing rollypolly moves down the staircase was comedic at best.

Then killing him off at the end was bullshit but I guess Hollywood cant give any character like him a happy ending.

The TV series that came before the movie was far more entertaining for me.

            • @Vyviel: That staircase scene was one of the best things that has been in a movie for a long time. The continental series started decently but never really justified its reason to exist, and had a villain who was extremely one note and just evil to be evil.

              • @witheredcouch: Thats the thing though you can say the same about the villain in the fourth movie too or well any of the movies. At least the continental villain actually seemed scary and psychopathic. I dunno it just felt like killing the big bad in 4 didn't really kill a big bad the dude was just some fancy rich chump who lets other people fight for him. Was hoping Wick would at least just kill every single person at the top but I guess they need to leave it open for future sequels and his resurrection or something else.

I dunno maybe I was just tired after 3 hours I loved the fight before the staircase but the staircase felt it went super long. The very last duel part felt hollow also how it ended as they telegraphed what would happen with having a bullet left etc etc.

First movie is still the best one for me as the fights were just so innovative and full of movement and also danger like any mistake he made would kill him. Maybe I just cant get over his magic suit and him being shot time after time wearing it removed any concern for his safety.

@witheredcouch: That's interesting because I love me some John Wick but 4 was slow, repetitive & boring. The staircase scene was so ridiculous and drawn out I hated it.

                • @Noobist45: I found 4 nowhere near as repetitive as 2, which is the worst for me by far. 4 flew by both times I have watched it, feels a lot shorter than its extreme run time (and I think most modern movies could easily have half an hour plus cut out). I also found the staircase scene to be utterly hilarious and am so glad they took the risk to include a joke that silly. It all just felt like the logical escalation of such a hyper stylised and absurd universe.

      No it wasn’t

By far the best of the four. The first is still great but feels a bit too limited by its scale. Four is what the second one should have been.

      Yeah it’s sucked hard.

Here, this is better, save $67.95

  • How many gold coins is that?

  • 67, the 95 is silver.

  • But 4k rips also demand quality…

  • I will wait till the series finishes.

      I don't wanna spoil anything, but…

  • With a pencil !

  • watched all 4 then Nobody. feel the latter is a notch better.

  • +2

The box set should come with a pencil.

In my opinion (in my opinion) watching John Wick was less interesting that sorting through a bag of old socks.

    • I completely agree. John Wick has no challenges —it's like having the t1000 as a protagonist. It's only enjoyable for its choreography and if that isn't enough there's nothing to commend it.

  • Great deal, thanks OP

  • really hate the ugly classification logos on the european releases

  • Consequences.

  • +1

Is it just me or was number 4 a struggle to get through? It felt like it went on forever and just seemed to be one fight after another. Like, oh look another repetitive fight scene. Yawn

    • +2

that's all they ever are, it feels like your watching a computer game.. all predictable cookie cutter films

  • Then part 5 comes out and this box set looks out of place on your shelf

  • We need more films like these, films focused on entertaining rather than sermonizing to us.
