Portable Wireless Air Compressor US$9.65 (~A$14.83) Delivered @ Cutesliving Store AliExpress

1190
24AN02AE2ZNAF

Insane price on this portable air compressor which is a budget version of the popular Xiaomi Air Pump 1S/2. While I wouldn't expect this to be as good as the Xiaomi version it'll still do a good job of pumping up tyres quickly on smaller tyres like those found on bikes, escooters, mobility scooters etc. Car tyres will take a lot longer since it's not a full sized wired compressor.

This one can go up to 150 PSI, can be set to PSI/BAR, includes 4 different nozzles, an inbuilt light and uses a USB-C cable for charging.

How to get the AU$ price in the title.

Setting overseas websites to AUD or letting PayPal do the currency conversion results in an inflated rate. To get the correct rate you need a card without international fees and do the following:

  • Set the website currency to USD
  • Checkout with PayPal
  • Select your card with no international fees
  • Click "See currency options"
  • Select USD to bill the card in USD instead of AUD
  • Proceed with checkout

Now you'll get the correct MasterCard or VISA exchange rate depending on the card.

Is there a way to add a few of these time limited super deals to get free delivery with choice items?

This watch band is $1.25 USD but no option to combine items for free delivery :(

    • They were both sold by different stores so how would you combine them for free delivery?

      • +5

Aliexpress has this thing called 'choice delivery' you can see it on the right side of the page when you click on the watch band.

        Choice Delivery
Shipping: US $1.99 , or free over US $10.00

You can choose from 'choice items' from quite a few stores. For example, these are all choice items from different stores. If you buy them individually you will be charged $1.99 USD per item, but if you have a cart of choice items over $10, you get free delivery.

Watch band from DezeHu Bnads Store
        Phone case from YISHANGOU Store
C to C cable from Digitaling Store
Car Phone Holder from Cutesliving Store

To answer your question, both the item in the deal as well as the watch band are choice item even tho they are from different stores. I want to buy the air compressor but also want to add on the watch band without a delivery cost since I'm already buying a choice item over $10. However there is no 'add to cart' button for the cheap watch band, hence my question.

"How to get the AU$ price in the title." … it's easy to use your Credit Card (without international fees) directly on AliExpress (while setting currency to USD).

    • Or use PayPal for buyer protection.

      • -1

"or"? His point is that the Paypal steps in your post are unnecessary, extra work.

        • You don't get PayPal buyer protection if you don't use PayPal.

          • -1

            @Clear: Not what you said.
" To get the correct rate you need a card without international fees and do the following:"

Wolfy is saying that instead of using PayPal you can use your credit card directly on AliExpress. It will bill your CC in USD and you don't have to worry about using PayPal and setting it to bill in USD. This is true, however by using your CC directly on the website you miss out on the buyer protection that PayPal offers.

I think the extra 3 clicks to use PayPal is worth it for buyer protection.

              • @Clear: Was there a US$1 charge from paypal under *ALIPAYUSINC ?

                • @Nagoos: Never for me. Are you sure it's not a currency conversion fee?

                  • @Clear: Used Macq bank. Maybe first time transfer and needed a $1 auth, but never stated anywhere (at least not obvious). Upon checking again, its now disappeared. took ~15minutes

  • +2

Thanks. Somehow it only cost me $A9.68 delivered including GST

    • New users get a big discount for their first order.

      • That's the thing, I'm not a new user.
        It thought I was though.

I logged in, then I still got the new user bonus even though all my old order history came up.

        • If it has been a long period of time since ordering it will.

        • Depends when you last used it. Old dormant accounts will get the new user discount again after a while I'm pretty sure

          • @bamzero: Yes, I got $9.68 on one of my account, ordered.
while on another account it was > $16

    • me too, used AE for the first time in years.

So what exactly is this used for?

Perhaps if you read the description?

        Wireless Air Compressor

Next they will be asking if it has Band 28

        • How is it compared to wireless charger?

        • +1

          Band 28

          Blast from the past.

          • @PinzVidz: Isn't that still important? It is LTE, not the old NextG.

    • +9

It's for compressing wireless air. Doesn't work with corded air.

      • +1

First its inverse square law, then shannons law, now its come to this…

    • Looks like for tyres and balls. Not sure what else you'd need an air compressor for?

  • 2.4 or 5ghz? /s

  • Can I use this to clean my pc?

    • +3

No, these don't put out a lot of air per second, so they're no use for cleaning stuff.

  • Thanks. Going to use it to top up my car tyres when it drops a few psi below the recommended values.

    • +3

      That's what they're best for

      • yup saves me a trip to the servo

    • My tyres don't use psi. Only kpa ;)

      • You could try buying second hand tyres - many of them will accept psi air

  • Thanks OP, picked one up! One less trip to the servo

    $AU8.99 by selecting US currency

  • +1

sorry but for this price, dont expect the battery or pump to be any good

    • It takes seconds to fill up a bike tyre. Can it really be that bad? Sorry no. Is it designed to fill up a car tyre from empty? No.

      • Do you know if it comes with a Presta nozzle?

        • I ordered without checking. Bummer.

          • +1

@bataleon: I bought one, and it's supposed to work with presta, but I can't work out how.

            Have you had any luck?

            • +1

              @prhino: Mine hasn't arrived yet. It's due tomorrow. I'll report back 🫡

            • @prhino: Hey mate. I can't figure out how to get it to work with Presta either. The included adapters are all for other valves.

        • +2
  • Cool, for that price it’s worth a try.
Would be great if it can pump up a stand up paddle board but assume that’s too much for it or will take half hour.

  • +1

FWIW it cost me $15.60. Due to PayPal conversion no doubt. Suggest others follow steps in the description :)

    • +1

Not sure if I could be bothered applying for a debit card with better exchange rates. I don't do tons of Aliexpress shopping.
I got approximately the same price.

      • Yeah i buy occasionally on there, but sometimes all the effort to save some cents is not worth it. I know not very ozbargain!

  • would this work with one of those inflatable spare car tyres though? not a full sized tyre…

    • yes it works

  • $15.21 when checking out via AUD from Ali

  • $9.63 Aus Tried several times to pay Paypal but nothing happened paid mastercard worked straight away

  • just got for $9.63 AUD….I think there is one per customer limit

  • I'm a bit confused, it says:
    Product sellpoints
Wireless and Portable: No need for cords or batteries, this air compressor is wireless and portable, making it easy to use anywhere.

Q: If there are no cords or batteries, where does the unit gets its power from? lol

Also, anyone know how long approx would it take to blow up or top up a 15" tyre to from 26 psi to 36 psi?

    • Bad English. There's an inbuilt battery - you don't need to supply your own.

      • Ah, thanks @Clear for the update on that.

Is there anyway to checkout as guest with paypal?

        • No you'll have to make an account

  • +1

Wireless, it saves taking the valve cap off. Sold!

  • +1

    Best landfill money can buy

    • +2

That's what Grok said mid-2022 about a different one and here we are nearly 2 years later and mine is still working fine.

Stupid comment. People see the cheaper price and immediately think it's shit. Perhaps they should check what website they're on because I can link the same one for even more.

  • I've got a Bosch one of these I use pretty regularly on my car, but it cost almost $70. Purchased this $18.26 one to see how it goes and if it isn't a total POS I will give it to a family member for their car.

  • +3

Beware of these false claims. From one review with photos. Only 1 pump cylinder, not double as described. Uses brushed motor not brushless as described.

    • Also in the second product image it says "The sound is less than 22db" — press X to doubt.

  • Great for blowing flat tires.

  • It wirelessly transmit air into the tire?

  • +1

Anyone had theirs stopped by customs?

    • +2

If I had a dollar for everytime someone asks I'd be rich. Basically every package from AliExpress gets stopped and it'll pass later on.

      • Thanks.

I haven't ordered from them in years so forgot the process

        • +1

All good. It's a very recent thing that's been happening.

          • @Clear: AU customs became paranoic (we are in war with non Na To)? Is that why AliExpress extended the delivery window?

  • I received mine today.

Charged it up and it does work, albeit very slowly.

I was topping up my sub tyres from 34psi to 38psi and it really struggled. The pressure would actually oscillate up and then down half a psi at a time. There was no noticeable air leaks.

In the listing it says it can fully charged a tyre in 3 mins. This is false.
It says it's a double pump motor. This is false (I opened it up).
It says it's a brushless motor. This is false. It is a regular low voltage brushed motor.

Any idea if it's easy to get a refund?

    • It's a no brainer that something this small takes a long, long time to top up car tyres. It's like why is this so small when everything else designed for car tyres is so big? Hence why I said it's designed for bikes etc. and small top up of cars.

AliExpress would want you to do a return and refund since it's a change of mind. For misleading specs they'd give you a partial refund without return.
