Celebrating the 10 year anniversary of the Battlefield series they are giving us arguably the best of the series for free. Battlefield 1942! Even after 10 year the game is still widely played online and with mods.

Even though the page is the demo page it was the only way I could find it get access to the full game.
From what I can see this does not include the expansions. Origin client IS required.

Click "Get now". It will ask to launch origin. Do so or create an account if you have not done so before.
Login, start the installation and away you go.

Not bad for a first submit I think ;)

  Just played this on LAN. For those wanting to copy it (and other Origin games) across multiple computers:

  1. initiate the download (on the new computer)
  2. accept terms etc so it creates the folder e.g. Battlefield 1942 (check that it has been created first)
  3. quit origin
  4. copy and paste the pre-downloaded installation folder
  5. re-open origin and it should say installing.

  May take some time but quicker (and cheaper) than downloading the whole thing multiple times.
