    Any deal for rtx 4070TI?

    • +1

      Yes

Nice deal, $50 cheaper than Mwave

    • But you get $93.90 back as store credit. With the amount of Mwave deals we have here, technically Mwave is cheaper by roughly $40.

      • +21

You've been fooled by Mwave's deceptive marketing - if the "M-Boost" was really on, I would've mentioned it in the deal

Store credit is only for selected categories which does not include GPU's

Credits will also only be supplied on April 29th and expire after 30 days - combined together, it has the smell of a rejected CashRewards cashback combined with a timed Harvey Norman gift card

Dang! And I thought if it shows on the page, it means it is eligible.

Oh well, plenty to learn still.

        • Has their T+Cs changed since this post?
I don't see it for selected categories anymore, although I assume it may be a 'new' promotion as the credit is awarded at a difference date now.

  • $908 for non plus members.

  • getting tempting now, nice find

7900GRE VS 4070S, if anyone interested

If I didn't pick up a 6800xt in november, I'd have been all over one of these

I'm looking to build my own 'gaming' PC at EOFY.
Will prices drop further? Should I wait? This vs the 4080?

    • +1

Another deal will always pop up. EOFY sales too.

    • No guarantee the price will drop, but I will wait at least 1 or 2 months before your build date.

  • will this run microsoft flight sim 2024 on ultra settings?

    • All GPUs can run it at Ultra just depends what fps you are targeting, anything from 1-100+ …😂

I haven't seen reviews using it for flight Sim, I'm sure there are some YT reviews of it.

  • how would this compare to the 4070 ti? I'm looking to run 4k 144hz, and happy yo play on maybe medium to high graphics setting?

its been a while aince ive also looked into GPUs but whats the main sorta real world usage difference between amds and NVIDIA?

    • Similar performance but worse RT performance and worse AI accelerated performance in apps outside of gaming. Other than that it's a solid card for this price. That comparison applies to all AMD cards vs Nvidia counterpart. Normally more FPS for less but you miss out on a few Nvidia features. You might find something for a reasonable price next gen but this gen you're still looking at a 4090 to be able to play most new games at those frame rates at 4k, within a year or two it'll probably drop off. 4k gaming is an expensive ball park you're looking at spending $4k for setup costs.

if u want to do 4k 144 you really need be looking at the xtx or a 4090

i have a 4080 and BARELY get over 100fps on a lot of titles

      • Can confirm, 7900xtx and Ryzen7700 combo here. High-max settings drops by fps under 100 for lots of heavy modern titles, and RT is just not worth it on the 7900xtx.

Just my opinion, 1440p ultra > 4k medium. 1440p ultra and 4k high is debatable, but I still prefer 1440p ultra if your monitor isn’t bigger than 32 inch. 4k is too expensive, demanding games max settings RT-on only around 60 fps with DLSS even you got 4090.

      • thank you for this, if i have a 4k 32 inch monitor, and i scale the game to 1440p, dyt it'll look blurry? I'm coming from a 27 inch 1440p

        • Not him but yes, reducing the resolution will make it blurrier on ANY monitor (unless DLSS or FSR are an option) but the difference is something you might be able to get accustomed to quite rapidly. Sharpening filters (like the ones you can add in GPU control panel) help a bit into tricking the eye.

  • Kept searching for 7900 GRE a month back, no store was showing availability in AU so ended up buying 7800 XT. Nice deal
