  • How do these compare to MX Master lineup… might do a bit of research…

Everyone that works in IT sales/warranty refer to the entire brand as "RA (Return Authorisation) - Poo" because of their insane high failure and return rate. Don't do it.

        Thanks,
I guess I’ll keep waiting for a decent sale on em… ugh

I bought this one in July 2022 and it's going strong as ever, have had to change batteries only once IIRC. Lucky?

Backs my personal experience with the brand.
1 of 1 product purchased… It worked, but was still kinda shitty.
Was hoping for a really nice almost logitech MX Anywhere kinda experience.. ended up working like the nastiest unit from Ali Express.
It's put me off the brand.

  • Huh, they actually come with 2 wireless dongles.

Great for office work, terrible for FPS gaming. It micro-stutters.

Thanks for the post! My razer mouse started failing today so was great timing

Picked up the pink version for $22.50 delivered. Just hoping the pink is not too strong.
It was $49 and had an additional $10 voucher, additional to the 35% off.

Awesome find I'll get that one instead. If the render is accurate it'll be quite a light pink and perfectly fine for me.

      • Apparently that is an earlier version, which does not have the optional wireless charging module ability. Also might have less of that middle button issue mentioned below registered against that particular model - MT760L.

        • I had read somewhere from Rapoo that they were all the same but wasn't entirely convinced because of the slight model name differences. It would make sense. Certainly not a deal breaker for me.

Same. Extra $16.50 in savings was too good to pass up!
Will leave this one in the office to deter mouse pinchers!

    • It shows 27.5 for me for some reason.

      Edit
      27.5 is the discount.

Great price!!! I bought my Mt750 + keyboard for $47 last year. They are quite good for the price. and saved my mental health as I was using Apple's magic mouse + their mini keyboard, both terrible for work.

  • Impeccable timing!
My MX Master 2 thumb button finally let go, and recent surgery to the outer shell is proving uncomfortable. Plus I split the shell…

I'll role the dice on the quality of this brand, after doing some research last week they are rated pretty well (failure rates not mentioned if course).

Hopefully it'll hold out until the MX Master 4 comes out to decide if I go full hog or not.

    Cheers!

  • Just my luck. I got it on Sunday for $49.99 lol.

I bought this about a month ago (for $50) but returned it.

On mine the scroll wheel registers clicks when scrolling, which is an issue some reviews mention. I figured it was just a sensitive button, which is not a problem for me as I have other mice that are similar.

But on mine I found it registers clicks even when the scroll wheel is not actually being pushed in at all. I suspect the mechanism to give the scroll wheel the notchy feel (rather than free spin) creates enough of a internal bounce to trigger the scroll wheel click button.

One review (posted right after I bought my mouse…) shows the scroll wheel rests directly on the microswitch for the click. So the notch bounce can directly bounce the microswitch, which likely causes the internal contacts to separate for a fraction of a second.

A redesign would fix this. Or perhaps mine is more sensitive than others. But I didn't find the ergonomics of the mouse great for my large hands, so just returned it.

    • Thanks for posting this! I decided against getting this mouse.

Just reading the above triggered me and if I faced this issue, i would chuck this mouse in the bin in frustration.

      • Get something from either Microsoft or Logitech.

You get what you pay for though. Cheap Logitech things won't be as good.

        • yep, that's exactly what i thought also. Tools of the trade shouldn't be skimped on.

I bought the mini version, arrived yesterday and it has this problem. Going to return it.

  • Well mine arrived today. It certainly has a pink hue to it.

The mouse is working well, the only minor issues so far is that the side wheel seems to be quite sensitive and unfortunately the drivers don't have an option to change it. The clickers are standard loudness, it would have been nice to have some noise dampening from Rapoo's "premium" line of mice.

Apart from that, the build quality seems decent and it's quite lightweight. I would say it's definitely good value for the price we paid.

    • How is the sensitivity of the middle scroll wheel button? And unwanted clicks during fast scrolling?

      • Sensitivity of the middle scroll wheel can be adjusted in Windows.

Hardware wise, the middle scroll has soft notches for individual scrolling similar to more expensive mice, however there is no feature to unlock the scroll wheel spin for infinite scroll, but I've never really used that feature previously when I had it on other mice.

I customized the middle mouse button to change the mapping to lock the computer, then I tested pretty aggressively scrolling around for 5 minutes. Not a single accidental middle mouse button click was triggered, so it seems the issue mentioned on some of the reviews may have either been bad quality control for some mice or an issue that occurs down the track.

        • Yeah, the overt sensitivity of the wheel button (rather than the wheel scroll) caused me to return this mouse, bought about a month ago (my comment a few replies above - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/15147738/redir). My issue seemed the same noted in many of the reviews and occurred from new.

But good news that yours does not do it, and hopefully it does not also occur over time. Your experience certainly makes it seem likely it is a quality control issue. Perhaps the microswitch used has variations in the firmness of the spring for the contacts. Mine was sensitive enough to trigger clicks just from the bouncing of the scroll wheel notchyness, without being actually pressed.
