      It is a digital gift card issued by Woolworths Group that you can redeem at EG Ampol service stations across Australia.

      It is not redeemable at any other Ampol-branded service stations (including Ampol Foodary).

          Yes.

          Ampol is a network of 1800+ service stations across Australia. There are two types of Ampol service stations in this network:

          1. Service stations owned/operated by Ampol themselves (including pretty much all Ampol Foodary service stations).

          2. Service stations operated by Ampol franchisees.

          EG Australia is an Ampol franchisee (and they bought out Woolworths Group’s service station portfolio in late 2018). Although EG sells Ampol-branded fuel and plaster the Ampol brand across their service stations and accept AmpolCard and AmpolCash, EG otherwise operate their service stations as they see fit. That explains why (for example):

          The most annoying thing about these gift cards. Whichever servo you rock up to it's the one that your gift card doesn't work at. It can be quite difficult from a distance (using the NSW FuelCheck app) to know which Ampol you're going to.

        Same as Wish card then? Wish card can be used at EG Ampol Service stations only (in addition to Woolies, Big W, etc).

          Yes, it is basically a WISH gift card that can only be used at EG Ampol (and nowhere else).

              @FatTofu: Is the service station next to you an Ampol Foodary? (It sounds like it is, because you mention the Ampol app discount, which should only work at Ampol Foodary service stations.)

              If so, you are correct, WISH gift cards and EG gift cards are not accepted there.

              @FatTofu: EG has their own app which lists their own service stations only and has their own discounts (separate to Ampol owned Foodary or other Ampol franchisees).

              The Ampol app as stated mostly has discounts promoted at their corporate-owned Foodary stations, but Ampol's station finder includes franchisees such as EG and Bennett's Petroleum.

      I had the link to the generic EG gift card. I believe Wookie must've changed it because he wants to wait for the "promo" gift card to go live, which he believes must be a different link from what I had.

      It is because these kinds of Prezzee deals are for specially-marked gift cards, not the regular gift cards.

      For example, in the current BIG W bonus gift card deal, the bonus gift card is only available for the specially-marked BIG W gift card, not the regular BIG W gift card.

      I did not want someone to ignore the Later Today tag and buy a $100 EG eGift Card before this deal starts, then get grumpy that they did not see the Later Today tag nor the start time of this deal and then start laying blame on other people.

      I (or someone else) will change the link to this deal to the specially-marked gift card once that page goes live.

      EG Ampol can handle split payments across multiple payment methods. I think my record is 4x WISH/EG gift cards in one transaction.

      Add the EG Ampol cards to your Woolworths rewards App (inc the PIN). It then shows it as a barcode for easy scanning at the station.

      But I managed to add mine to everyday rewards app that shows QR code for the card. The code looks legit so will see.

    GPay didn't work first time. Tried Paypal 2nd time and it showed an error as well. However, it actually went through.

    edit: looks like the GPay payment went through and so did the Paypal one. Currently showing $100 and the bonus $10 EG eGC showing in my Prezzee wallet. Did receive email that a payment didn't go through and will be reversed.

          I just found it, it is a bit different to normal emails from them. It is the one that said you have been sent a gift card. It has a present in the middle of the email and a code, click on the link at the top open in browser and that is where you unlock the card with the code in the email, then you can add to your wallet

      I received my bonus EG gift card via email a few seconds after placing the order. The subject was “🎁 <first-name last-name>, Prezzee sent you a gift.”

      Have you checked all relevant folders (including spam/junk) in your email inbox?

      Keep in mind the terms and conditions of this offer says there may be a delay in sending out the bonus gift card:

      10. After a Qualifying Purchase has been made, the Extra Digital Gift Card will be automatically sent to the email address of the customer who made the Qualifying Purchase in a separate email within 48 hours.

        Although the terms state "within 48 hours" these bonuses from Prezzee usually come through immediately. Both mine and my wife's did (as usual) in this instance.
