      Yes it is true. I have a facer dev account too, but I have no influence on the pricing there. Sometimes I make limited time free / trial version watch faces, but I will delete them in 1-2 weeks.

  Any way to further customise the watch face? I am really struggling to find a good watch face with dual time (for two time zones). This is perfect if I could replace the calendar area with a small dual time clock.

    You can add second time zone on this one.
    Select world clock, and then select the timezone you are interested in.
    I just tested it and works fine.

  If i want a watchface ill go look for one, and happily pay for it

  Its what i did for Pixel Minimal - which is really the only one worth having anyways

  Looks like the install link is just a companion app? I can't install directly to watch (TicWatch E3), says incompatible! Works only on certain Wear OS devices?

    Yes, i'm already aware of the problem. google is supposed to be working on it. it's a specific problem of pixel watches with custom watch faces.
