If you have a bit of a wait at Melbourne airport and don't have lounge access, this is a pretty good alternative across the road…

  • Valid only between 6:00am to 11:00pm daily.
  • Lounge access available on Level 4.
  • Complimentary Wi-Fi provided on Level 4 Bar Airo and code is available at reception.
  • Leisure facilities access provided up to a maximum of three hours.
  • Access to be purchased from reception located on Level 4.
  • Modify or cancel your booking up to 24 hours prior to your arrival, for stays from now until 31 December 2024.
  • Rates are in AUD and inclusive of GST.

        I'm guessing this is for people with big gaps between international & domestic flights. Or people traveling with kids, you've checked out of your hotel at 12, but not flying out until the evening. Spend some time here, check-in, come back for an hour or so.

    I actually quite like this. Pool there is very good. I enjoy going for a swim @ Changi Airport as I find it tires me out and I can get some sleep on the plane coming back home, especially when I'm coming back from Germany or the UK on a work trip. Will give this a go next time I'm heading out. Cheers OP

    Sounds like paying $25 to access a hotel bar (an anti-bargain?) I would prefer to pay around $65 for one of the open access lounges and have the free food and booze.

      probably aimed at families with evening flights or people with 6+hr connecting flights.

      one time we flew back via Melbourne with a 6hr gap, so went to Airport West westies & watched a movie..

      Except if you paid $65 it wouldn’t be free food and booze? $65 also wouldn’t get you access to the gym, pool, spa or sauna. I could certainly see this working for longer time to kill for people with kids.

      There's a giant wave pool less than 5 minutes from the terminal. It's bloody awesome.

      The hotel at the airport that this is a pass for has an indoor pool. It's quite good.

    Not too bad, maximum of 3 hours however. $25 still reasonable for a place to sit, a swim, a workout/exercise and place to shower.

    I think the boomer style booking system of calling or emailing might actually be the worst bit.
