Got one this evening. Battery is cactus - says "Service". Drains quickly after full charge. Came dead in box. Screen is poor quality aftermarket with a pale yellow tint though scratches are tolerable, only just. Stay away.

Mine is 86% still holds charge. For $99 I'm not complaining.

Not every phone, mine original iphone 8 battery 80% hold for 6 month then move down to 78% since Jan still holding charge like 4hr+ light usage.
Yeah, but mine shuts off randomly once the battery % is below 40% despite the battery health is 84%. However, I did use that iPhone as WiFi hotspot a lot.
Managed to order one at local coles. Partners old iphone 6 battery is in desperate need to replacement. This is cheaper than a replacement battery so thanks to the OP.
Coles then cancelled the order a few hours later.
Very poor service doing that. Should just prevent you from ordering in the first place, especially when you pay via paypal.

Wonder if the IP68 water resistance will still be intact on these given screens/batteries may have been replaced? I suppose it depends if they carried out the repairs correctly and revealed the glue/rubber
Depends on the repair. Generally, it is best to replace the water resistant seal surrounding the edge of the frame inside the phone.
However, for $99, I wouldn't have high expectation.

Managed to get one. Condition is just ok. Bad scratches on edges of screen, lots of marks on the metal, but seems to work fine and 100% battery. Screen has been replaced once before as evidenced by a not perfect seal but seems to be genuine as the 3D Touch and True Tone still work.
Also, as some others have mentioned, it’s the Japanese model, although I think the bands are the same so should make no difference in AUS

These really aren’t that bad. I’ve bought quite a few back at the $199 price and most were absolutely perfect. The 2/12 with slight scratches I returned via the 30 day satisfaction guarantee without any issues. I was just being super fussy. At $99 it’s well worth it.

Bought one and collected in store this evening. It was a Japanese model (A1906) in silver colour with 100% battery health. The phone arrived in excellent condition with minor physical scratch marks along the edge of the metal frame bezels, perhaps the screen got replaced? and it doesn’t seem to be water resistant at all. No crack, dent or scratch mark apart from that bit, everything works fine.
Picked one up last night and it looks brand new.

I would return as 80% is considered low enough for Apple to replace when in the warranty period and that means they consider it significant
