      For Malaysia, just buy a sim from the airport. I was in Malaysia 2 weeks ago and I couldn’t find any decent sims prior to my travels. I’ve used travelkon before and they are great.
      But for Malaysia just buy a local sim. Cheap and easy. Buy the digisim after immigration. There is a booth, you can’t miss it. Was approx $20 for 75gb/30days.

      The one you are referring to is a local SIM / eSIMs - which is imposed by the Government and Operator (applies to even physical stores).

      We have other non local SIMs / eSIMs for Indonesia that does not require any form submission.

    FYI the GiffGaff physical SIM:

    • If you add £10 credit (as opposed to a Goodybag), it lasts pretty well indefinitely. Just need to send a text once every 6 months. We bought one from TK in 2022 and still alive and well.

        Regulars to the UK and occasionally Europe. £10 is the minimum credit addition (only need to do it once) and then you have the same number for as long as you want it. An £10 PAYG (done on the app just before we get on the plane) lasts 30 days and comes with 15Gb. £15 = 35Gb and so on.

        Note credit and PAYG are different beasts…

      For physical SIM simply insert the SIM and turn on data roaming to activate.

      For eSIM you can add the eSIM in Australia and it will only activate once you reach Europe.

    I'm travelling to Asia—USA—Asia, all within 30 days.
    If i purchase both a 30 day Asia eSIM and a 30 day USA eSIM, would I be able to switch between them? Or would the Asia eSIM expire once I 'activate' the USA eSIM?
    I've also considered the World Explorer eSIM but it ends up being more expensive.

      Note our Asia 12 now includes USA (since Cambodia is suspended) so this might work out for you?

      But you can purchase ASIA + USA eSIMs and use them accordingly.

    And on that note, I'm looking for a USA eSIM that has greater than 30 Days for use in OCT through Mid-NOV. Do you have anything that i can purchase now that i can activate when i travel in Oct?

      The eSIMs has to be activated within 90 days so unfortunately it is too early.

      Our T-Mobile, Verizon and AT&T eSIMs does not have "validity" period since it has to be activated on certain dates, however it only last 30 days (which you can buy 2x 30 days eSIMs)
