all depends on your risk-seeking appetite i guess. i've heard great things about ainol and cube and specs wise you are looking at better performance with the RK3066+mali400 compared to the outdated tegra 2/omap. reliability however is a different story and you won't get as good build quality, fluid user experience or after-sale service as you do with a locally purchased samsung. if you like to customise and fiddle around with the software, want to save $100 and don't mind the extra risk with warranty, then go for the ainol/cube. if you just want something that works and is reliable and need peace of mind, go for the samsung.
also keep in mind resale value and whether hdmi-out is important to you
if you are comparing samsung and asus, the TF300 is a much better tablet for $380 mailed from US with global warranty. any newer models you will be paying a lot more
i got the tab2 3g from the door buster deal and quite happy with it so far. aside from lack of HD apps which is the problem with all android tablets it's quite good value for the price

I think it does but you have to download it and flash it yourself through unofficial channels (heaps of blog posts about it). It should come over by air soon though if I am not wrong.
Are you sure that's 4.2? I haven't seen anything on XDA regarding a 4.2 ROM. There's definitely a 4.1.2, though.
