    • I think it's better to compare this to a Kindle device because they have their own customised UI which locks you in purchasing their own content.

      • but it has the battery life of a tablet, and is in colour and can play video. They are listed as tablets.

  • can you just get the 8 gig version if it has a micro SD slot? (which is what puts me off the nexus). Also I notice it is $50 more than in the U.S before shipping.

    • This deal is for the Nook HD+, which is different from the Nook HD. The plus model only comes in 16Gb or 32Gb. This site only sells the 32Gb version of HD+, but with the discount voucher it comes out to be the same price as the 16Gb HD+ sold elsewhere. Also other stores in the US that sell the HD+ don't ship to Australia.
