The battery last up to 5 hours of listening, or for up to 2.5 hours of talk
    they're IPX4 rated against water

and No ANC, worth no more than $25 to me
    In comparison:
    $23 Baseus Bowie E19

You've always been able to buy cheap earphones, this is no surprise. People pay more for higher sound quality/build quality/more seamless experience.

      • -2

nope. you're paying for the brand.. i;ve tried so many cheapo china brands.. and the quality, features, built, app, design and connectivity is on par if not better than the branded ones. biggest culprit is bose…..

        • +2

Every time I get a cheap brand that people rave about they sound like shit. E.g. I had the Anker Soundcore Space A40, they have this hissing treble that hurts my ears, even when I turn treble down to zero it's still there slightly and now I have no highs lol. Overall they still aren't bad for the price, but I'd rate the Pixel Buds A much more highly in terms of sound quality.

    • These are pretty good for the price, if you don't need ANC.
I have the A-series and the Gen 1 Pixel Buds Pro with ANC. Plus plenty of Chinese buds, Moondrop SpaceTravel, Soundpeats Mini HS Pro & T2 etc to compare.

These have a wingtip holder, so they stay in your ear well, would be good for running, gym and sports use. They're comfortable. Buds charge superfast in the case too, if you ever run them down which I haven't managed too yet. Sound is good to me. Quality isn't unreal but it's definitely a step up from cheaper Chinese earphones I've used, Moondrop and Soundpeats etc. And they pair semalessly and quickly with my Pixel 7 Pro.

      • what would be your recommendation in each of these price brackets ? for price:performance, i am considering. For context i have a pair of Elite 65T Active (battery life starting to suffer). But i prefer wired KZ HBB PR2, yes i still rock a phone with 3.5mm jack. Most important to me is sound quality (happy to EQ).

        Pixel Buds ($50)
        QCY Melobuds Pro ($50)

        Pixel Buds Pro ($120)
        Ear (a) ($120)

        Elite 10 gen 2 ($290)

Or a left field option - get one of those BT behind the ear adapter for my KZ HBB PR2?

        • +1

I wouldn't recommend KZ bluetooth adapter, one I used was fairly janky.

Out of those I'd probably lean Google Pixel Buds Pro due to fairly good ANC for commuting and reasonably good sound quality and reasonable price. But I also don't have experience with Jabra, QCY or Nothing and can only comment about my experience with the Pixel Buds Pro. I also highly doubt the Jabra Elite 10 is 2x+ times better then either the Nothing or Pixel Buds Pro to justify the increased price. Where as the Pixel Buds Pro is easily justified over the standard Pixel Buds due to wireless charging and good ANC.

  • Seq. Underwood, pimpama, Nerang limited stock

  • I've ordered a set of these for collection. Will they be any better than the QCY-T13's that I am using now or should I cancel?

    • +3

Sound is very subjective. Don't think anyone can answer this. There are thousands of models of tws out there at all price ranges.

    • +2

I think so, the QCY's headphones are pretty average

I got 2 pairs for $40 last year. That was a good deal.

I gave them away as gifts, so no idea how they perform.

  • +1

I just got confirmation my order is ready for collection

  • I still have 4 of these still unopened from the Telstra deal @$10 each.

  • +2

I went to Chatswood and instead found the Pro for $119 (only that one left I think), thanks OP!

Adding to this it's only the black that is 119, other colours are still 149, assistant said they do this to clear out the remaining last of the stock when stock dips to a very low level on "priced to clear items".

I asked and apparently only a handful left in nsw (less than 5 when she checked an hour ago) for anyone who is thinking of buying. Managed to get the last one at Pitt

      • I went to Hornsby store and they had 3 of these Buds Pro Charcoal, empty fake boxes in the Headphones area. Had clearance tag at $119. So it looks like multi-store.

        Have added to the title.

    • How are you liking the sound of the Pro?

      • Haven't opened it yet. I'll let you know when I do.

  • Maitland had 2 pairs apparently (couple of stores in Newcastle area also had 'limited' stock), ordered one as these at least had a microphone, worst comes to worst it's 59 bucks…

  • -5

100% can do better with a decent china export brand for cheaper.

  • Very average at RRP but for this price, it’s not bad.

  • Gledswood Hills in Sydney have limited stock. Just picked up two pairs in store and they seemed to have less than 10 units left. Website currently showing 3 in stock.

    • Lol $147 how generous of them 😂

  • +1

Mine is ready to collect, there was only one in stock when I placed my order. Got lucky :)

  • I am awaiting the Pro Gen1 drop to the $100 mark…

    • I lost one Pro earbud when fixing the car the other day…devastated now im back to using cheapies

      • Doesn't support single bud use?

        • yeah but no one wants that

      • Couldn't ring it?

        • +1

Nah, not loud enough. That said I once washed them and could hear them inside the washing machine

    • 119 at multiple stores. Walk in price tho. Call your stores to check. I saw Charcoal only.

  • Why can't Officeworks deliver? If they have stock..

    • +1

Because they work only in the office? Haha.

Donno. Stock location and they don't have drivers in store/all stores. Same reason you can't goto their brick and mortar?
