Super cool keyboard at what I think is the lowest price yet, not including the cashback deal at Everyday Market from Woolies. Now it's coming from the UK so you'll need to have Prime and wait a bit longer to get it. I'm still waiting for the C64 version at something close to this price, so I still didn't bite the bullet, but this has definitely tempted me. If you want a numpad, the deal is still on here as well. See today's earlier post here at 81 cents more expensive with heaps of comments

Same here. I prefer the color scheme of the N64 version but this one seems to be on the brighter side of prints on the keys themselves. Decision, decision :/

Yeah the Fami version looks amazing, but the C64 was my first computer and I know if I buy this one, I'll end up buying the C64 as well and I really don't need two more keyboards 😅

A retro keyboard would be much better if it didn't need to say "retro" on it.

I do like 8bitdo though- good products, well priced.

    • Print a new sticker :)

    Retro but no numpad…

  • got a Keychron Q6 max with Gatoron Oil king black switches and double shot keycaps, how does this keyboard stack up? can you mod it?

    • +1

You can hotswap but getting into it is a bit tough apparently. There's some info on YouTube and Reddit. I'm on the fence about putting new switches in. The switches it comes with are really noisy.

Here's one to get you started.

      • ahh cool thanks man yeah I wanna put the tap mod on it and other dampening methods as well to make it very Thocky :D

        • Personally, I think using PE foam sounds better than the tape mod. I'm using a pretty expensive group buy keyboard with expensive this and that, and I still think my basic-ass Keychron K8 at work with rubbish Gateron Reds (lubed etc) and PE foam sounds better than my main one at home. Try it out, you might be surprised at how some things turn out.

  • You can get amazon giftcards from woolies?

    • yeah man you can get any giftcard from woolies.

      • Really? I couldnt find any for amazon so i just bought an ebay one to buy my ssd

      • could u send a link to amazon giftcards? i still cant find it

  • What's the use case for this?

    • +9

Most people type on them. Some people game on them. I'm hanging mine on the wall

You're asking the use case for a keyboard..?

    • What's the use case for this?

You use 'em to floss your teeth. That's what the USB cable is for.

  • Haven't used Mechanical Keyboard in a while(just used my laptops keyboard). How does the switches on these feel compared to Cherry MX Browns? I think that was what I had before on a Ducky keyboard.

    • +1

I have a Ducky One Two with brown keys as well as this.

I love my Ducky and I had it for 3 years before I got this.

I must say this feels much more satisfying to write on. I prefer this to my Ducky Two.

      • Thanks! I'm still pondering whether to pull the trigger or not.

  • This is not bad but I think the Bridge75 at ~$150 is better value with an aluminium case, lots of foams and a nice backplate.

    • This is a fine keyboard, but I'm sure you're right. If it wasn't for the nostalgia of this keyboard, I'd probably be looking at something else.
