549 @scorptech and get OW to PM and you have a better deal

    • Very nice!

      • If they stocked it…

    • Do officeworks sell that model? I can't find it in the online search.

      • Nope, I can’t find it either.

Doesn't it have to be a minimum of 10 to be a deal?

Go straight to WIFI 7 with reputable ASUS for not much more($624)?

uk model - you have to be kidding?

      • AU version (no UK/EU throughput/band limitations) for $650 seems ok, though this model is only dual-band.

your better of getting ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AX6000
          its better and cheaper

          • @botchie: Selling price of the AU AX6000 (2 generations old Wi-Fi 6) is too much.

            https://www.amazon.com.au/ASUS-GT-AX6000-Aggregation-Triple-…

Spending $37 more for a new Wi-Fi 7 device (8 port switch) with it's much longer support period is worth the extra few $.

@xuqi: What the heck. What is Asus doing? I'm sure the GT-AX6000 for AU model was $549 a couple of weeks ago.

For $613, I wouldn't go anywhere near it. I'd rather get the RT-BE88U for a few dollars more. How the he@# do Asus expect to sell these older models at those prices.

By the way, does anyone know, if I want to buy a US model, can I order directly from Amazon.com US site? And if ordering from there, if it was DOA, I assume I'd have to ship it back to the US instead of Amazon AU?

              • @Ice009: AU AX6000 is well under $500 and cant be found even cheaper - its better then this new wifi7 which is slightly more faster but still missing 6hz band and doesn't have as many channels or other features

    • Dont bother worring about WiFi 7 unless you have interference from other WiFi's and its the only solution

Its too early to futureproof a router IMO and I think is why WiFi 6 routers are still so expensive
However I will only use Asus routers until something more reliable presents itself for a competitive price.

Any free time, refer to dongknows to start the rabbit hole

  • I am using Netgear Ax6000 Nighthawk AX8 8-Stream Wi-Fi 6 Router stay or upgrade

Your tri-band router is very good, so personally I wouldn’t bother.

      • Thanks 🙏🏽

And yet, not one Kylo Ren comment….

  • Man just buy a mini server (even one of the beelinks will do) for this price and a ubiquiti wifi access point. Install pfsense - even running as a vm. So much more flexible.
Only catch is it needs to have two network ports and it is a little harder to configure….

I'm still using my gen 8 microserver as a server/router.
