I am very pissed off with Guess.
I was in Pitt st city a couple of Saturday's ago shopping with my partner & saw a nice looking Messenger bag on display at the front window of the Pitt st Guess store. Went inside and asked the sales assistant if it was real leather as I will not purchase it if not. She reassured me that it was real leather and not the faux (I.e. fake) leather.
Found out later browsing the Guess website that it is faux!
It's not worth my while wasting the best part of my weekend day to return it.
Thumbs down to Guess for selling me an item on a false pretence.
Well, i would say most of Guess bags are made from PU material which make them look like leather. It can be easily recognise by touching the surface. Genuin leather has smooth, soft surface whilst PU (or faux, like u said) has a rougher surface :). But Guess's quality is quite good and good built too. I'm still using my 1 year-old messenger bag and it still look brand new :) I bought it from last year sale though :P
I agree, but I now feel I've paid a 'leather price' & now 40% more for a plastic bag that I didn't want.):(.
its you own fault you should have inspected the bag more closely, either return the bag or stop whinging about your mistake!
Bozo, it's obviously my mistake even though she incorrectly stated that the bag was real leather when it wasn't, and it's obviously my fault that the sales girl was either misinformed or was not educated about the product she was selling. Or better yet still I should've instantly assumed the lovely sales girl was a liar. Of course it's my partner's fault too because she thought it was real leather as well.
As I also mentioned, I shouldn't have to waste my valuable time in the first place returning the bag.
Just in time. I was planning to go to guess in this weekend.
