The L 7009 is a small, yet loud electronic buzzer with an insistent buzzing sound up to 70dB when triggered by a wide voltage range between 4V dc to 15V dc at a low 15mA current. It is used particularly in a wide variety of circuits including a simple one incorporating only a 9V battery, a switch and the buzzer itself.
Input: 4-15 volts DC.
Operating Current: 15mA.
Output: Approx: 70dB SPL at 1m.
Size: 23mm(l) x 17mm(w) x 16mm(h).
26mm mounting hole centres.

    Ah man… DSE still sell these? I remember these from the 80s! Pretty sure the design hasn't changed at all.

      That's what I thought. Last time I went in to dick smith and asked for a network card, the girl behind the counter looked at me with a blank stare and replied, "Do you mean, For a Playstation?"

      Ugh..

      I miss the days when Dick smith actually sold hobby electronics, Not just tvs and over priced computers.

        LOL! Once I went to purchase 6 diodes and 4 resistors. I caught the sales person behind the counter on the phone, he was taking some time.. He looked at me and said what are these.. Then chatted more on the phone.. Then he just said to me just go, take them just go :) haha! freebies!

  • These are great for hooking up to circuits blowing fuses with a short to power. Pretty useful for diagnosis.
