Seen that Centrecom is selling the XFX 7970 Black Edition Dual Dissipation Version for cheap price… cheaper than the 7950 BEDD or 7970 DD / 7970 BE

EDIT: bring your jumping shoes and tissues- Online ordering with centrecom is a very disappointing experience x2 !!!!
Lack of email updates mean status changes without your knowledge, at one stage they wanted my license before confirming Paypal payment, ATM it says awaiting stock ***do not dispatch - awaiting email from customer - WTF??? first i heard of an email requested from me. to make it worse cannot contact anybody by phone must email and there email responses are few and far between. Delay Delay Delay.., So it looks like I order mine 2 days before everyone else and it hasn't moved from there warehouse - even worse they might have sold the 17 they confirmed they had and now waiting for more supplies before fulfilling my order. Horrible Experience

Black Edition:
XFX uses its "GPU Edging" process to identify the top 1% of overclockable GPUs which go into the Black Edition video cards.

Dual Dissipation:
XFX claim that DD will be 7 degree's cooled and 13 dba quiter… than what i dont know - but reviews seem positive. pretty much its a better cooler to help with OC'ing you BE GPU.

  Just finished lodging a complain with consumer affairs. I suggest everyone else also effected should do the same.

  These bastards lied to me several times on the phone, I'm not gonna stand for this type of treatment.

  havoc, Msy were not accepting some warranties. I personally never had problems but i buy a fair bit (on behalf of my work). I hope you see this, forgot to use reply button

    Ordered the same XFX 7970 from PLE Computers on the 19/12/2012.

    Received it today!! (21/12/2012).

    Much better than Centrecom and support is a thousand times better! Not a bunch of dead monkeys on the phone.

    Did I mention that it was $16.58 cheaper delivered?

      Sure it was the same card? Theres a fair few XFX 7970's around.

      According to the site, you wouldn't have got the Black Edition. Just the Double Dissipation.

    When did you ask for a refund?

    I received my refund 3 hrs 12 minutes after I sent them an e-mail asking for a refund.

      I paid via bank deposit tho, so I gave them my bank details and they said they passed it along but yeh.. sigh ;(
