      Thanks. I was aware of that deal but was trying to avoid buying from amaysim directly.

      I bought for the first time from their website a few months ago but it arrived already activated from the day of purchase. There was a postal delay and by the time I was ready to use, it was close to the 28 day expiry. Had to contact chat who wasn't that helpful to restore the expiry date although it wasn't used or activated by me. I've Telstra on my main phone and would use amaysim on a spare phone so don't need that much data.

        I've ordered 20+ times from amaysim.
        If you choose a new number, their sim always arrived pre-activated.
        The 28 days period will be reset within 24 hours after you activate it manually online.
        If it doesn't, just contact support and I have never had a problem with it.

          Thanks. I was unlucky the agent wasn't helpful and it put me off ordering directly. I bought from Coles when it was also $10 last month for 50GB.

          I read a few comments here that the 28 day period doesn't always automatically reset within 24 hours with the pre-activation so may have to contact support.

          Edit: I didn't neg you and don't know why you were negged.

          Never had issues with their chat rep , even have offered refunds or credits when they delay delivery or other issues.

    Pro tip, once you sign up go into the app and select "disable auto renew".

    Amaysim Should then send you an offer in the next day or two offering 3 discounted renewals. I think I'm paying around $16.50 instead of $22, with the same data. I accepted the offer and it turns on auto-renew.

    However my service stopped working after first 28 days, so had to chat with the support team and I believe you SMS RENEW or something similar to a number and it re-activates at the cheaper rate.

      How long do you have to activate the SIM after you buy it? Unless you want to keep the number, isn't it better to just buy several SIMs from Woolies

      Though having said that amaysim has offered me 80GB for $12 for 3 more months and I hadn't even got round to disabling auto renew

    I bought a $35 starter pack that woolworths was selling for $12 - currently gives you 84GB / 28 days. The price tag said it's on special until 19 November.

    When I activated it there was the option to buy cheaper plans and keep the rest of the money as PAYG credit (which should be usable to buy more plans in the future) - so even if you don't want 84GB you could spend $22 of the $35 credit on this plan and keep $13.

    Everyday extra / ww insurance 10% off and ww gift cards can be used for these to reduce the cost further.

      Yes, there're always some not advertised in the catalogue. I check them via its App(instore shopping mode). The prices are current there while instore price tags may be outdated or missing. By doing so, I can plan the purchase at home before going out, the same with Coles App.

      However, someone said here that eGC can not be used for amaysim SIM, but you did it. I suspect it is due to the exclusive stock ($35 or $149) that may not be excluded.

    Amaysim is crap. Just signed up and I'm unable to make phone calls to a few business landline numbers. The help desk that answered my query said that quote, "It iS not included to ypur plan to call a business number". WTF. Never again.

      May I ask which type of business landline numbers did you try to ring? I haven't encountered this issue when I rang a few businesses but it would depend on the number. I don't use amaysim regularly though as my main phone is with Telstra.

        Just random ones don't connect at all, no dial tone and just cuts off. I had an important meeting with a company this morning and I tried to call the landline and had this issue. In frustration, I ported back to Boost and no issues with the same number.

    Maybe a dumb question, but can anyone confirm if using an Amaysim referral link and activating one of these starter packs will qualify to give referrer and referee the $10 credit bonus?

    Tried it a couple of weeks ago, but I've received no credit and apparently neither has the referrer.

    I suspect it might only be work for online purchases of 'non-promotional' sim plans.
