"$200 instead of the $250 GC spend which is nice."
    Care to explain the math?

    • +17

      200<250
      QED

      • +3

That's my quant, look at him

    • +14

You are eligible to receive the promotional credit by spending $200 instead of recent deals which required a spend of $250 on GC.

Spending less to get the same credit = nice

      • +7

        Thx, I thought there is a $50 discount on $250 GC :D

      • +1

The $200 deal was literally there early November why are we talking like thats a long time ago

    • +1

Used to be $150 spend last year…

  • +16

Thanks OP, not as good as recent 10% discount, but I won't say no to 5%.

    • +8

Plus you don't need to call up banks/merchants to allow your transaction to go through…

      • +3

I didn't need to do that (luckily), but I know others did. 10% essentially limited to $2,500 per purchase was pretty good while it lasted

    • +7

      Nah seen 10% 5% won't cut it

  • 5%

    • +1

Not even that. $210 value for $200 = 4.76% off

  • Ordered enough to last for another few months when 10% off

    • +2

Hopefully that deal comes back in another few months then!

    • You are very organised.

"The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase."

If you havent redeemed it once and getting the error, initiate a chat with amazon customer service and they will add that to your cart. Ijust did that.

  • Order stuck on Processing (card hasn't been charged yet)

    Edit: Processed after 25mins

  • +9

What is this? A discount for ants?

  • Clicked away accidentally at checkout, now when I redo, even close app or delete/re-add.. I get this discount code can’t be applied to your order… any insight?

    • +2

Pretty sure i did this last time when this promotion was around, it should still be applied, cause it only lets you enter it once.

      • Thanks, that was exactly the outcome when I finally checked out…

  • +2

Can't believe I'm now jumping for a 5% promo credit (not even bonus gift card balance)… goes to show how entrenched Amazon AU has become in my life!

    • Must support Bezos and his boy-girlfriend

    • Im glad that you choose your addiction.

  • +1

Loaded $5000 to my amazon account with the recent 10%, going to last a while, 5% is also good if your balance is low.

    • holy moly meanwhile i did less than 500 haha.

  • Cannot be applied to your cart error?

    • same here

      • same here.

        • same here

    • +1

It usually happens when you try to enter the code twice but now it seems more buggy and it doesn't tell you it is applied when you use the 'add to cart' option, it is probably applied, but to be sure delete the card and instead of adding to cart, do a 'buy it now' and re-enter the code. That page is a bit different. It might say already applied but look on the right for:

      Qualifying offers:
      Gift card BFS offer

  • Money still money quit complaining, lucky even have this nice deal won't get better.

    • $5 for $300 spend next ;)

  • Thanks to all of you Amazon now beats target and JB

  • +1

Was going to turn this down, then noticed the portal where I usually get Amazon GC has reduced their discount from 3.5% to $2.8.

With the CBA cashback still makes it a decent deal.

    • Oof just noticed HCF did the same thing

  • Did anyone get their $10 promo credit pretty quick after purchase? I know it says to allow 2 business days. It has been faster than that the last time.

    • +1

Yes, took about 2 mins for me just now

    • Went through support chat who then provided a link to get a call back as chat couldn't help further. Got the call from support and the $10 promotional credit has now been applied.

  • Ok, I was getting the error lots others are getting, went through and bought anyway, and quickly got an email confirming the $10 voucher after $200 gift card purchase. Gift card and confirmation email came within few minutes.

  • This offer was limited to first 7000 takers (will have to act quicker next time)

Also, just bought $200 worth of Amazon Gift Card via Macquarie Bank and they reduced the discount from 3.5% to 3%.

Inflation! Means prices go up, discounts get reduced, savings interest should go up (but keep going down), credit card payment period going down from 55 days to 44 days etc etc

and Coles & Wollies keep pretending they are dropping prices when in fact they are going up & offering fake discounts or something like 10C or 20C off (ridiculous) on regular prices (even on their soon to expire cakes) and expect customers to fall for it.

No wonder we are all going after every deal & discount that is on offer

  • It's not really a $10 credit, but a one time use $10 discount.

Bought an OXO brush for $8.50, lost the $1.50 remaining "credit".
