    It's more than 5% off, thats the extra % for students

    Nothing special about it, just a decent cheap laptop

    I think special is the price for a 13.3" laptop with 3rd gen i3 processor that weighs under 2kg.
    You can find cheaper 13.3" laptops with AMD chips or intel Celeron's but this is better than those IMO.
    There were cheaper deals available sometime back in Sep/Oct for ThinkPad E320 (previous model) but that is now out of stock.
    These newer models come with Win 8 for a non-touchscreen laptop like this, they should provide option to get Win 7 as some are happy with the previous version of windows.

  I have this laptop, but with Windows 7, i5 processor and 500GB HDD. I have been quite impressed with it. Very light and portable. Battery lasts for ages.

  Build quality is okay. Some plastic trim sticks out a bit on mine, but can be easily fixed with a bit of glue. Only other criticism would be the trackpad. Keyboard is nice.
