Can't believe this. I reckon they might refuse such usage and cancel the transaction.

        • just checked my paypal account, they have deducted the $5 already. now i just have to wait for the $10 gift card to arrive in the letterbox.

        • +1

Seems the minimum gift card value is now $20…

And a lot of cheap stuff doesn't add to the shopping cart anymore.

    • +1

sweet mary jane - this is going to go off!!
      great find

    • +2

      That's usin' your noggin!

    • +3

What are the terms & conditions for using gift cards ? can you use multiple gift cards in one order ?

      • You can't use gift cards online, only in-store.
Can't imagine how they could refuse multiple gift cards… with the exception of clauses like JB where they check ID for > 5 cards to prevent laundering.

        • Not being able to use online is fine, as long as they allow multiple cards for one transaction. I asked because certain companies do not allow it, for example Kogan has one card per transaction policy.

  • Ok this works for me:

Put item in cart and checkout with paypal using the promo code and google chrome with auto fill in.

I've used the voucher over 10x now on Map coffee capsules. Good value for $15 all up so far ;-)

  • Thanks OP, batteries too

  • -2

The Asian girl @ Promo Screen 7 has an amazing mouth.

Ohh this deal is good too.

    • haha

  • Seems no better idea than batteries, bought both AA and AAA for $2. Thanks OP.

  • how many times can the code be used per account?

  • If doing multiple orders, are people doing pickup or delivery?

If pickup, it's going to be interesting to walk in and get the goods!

    • +1

Especially when picking up a stack of $5 giftcards.

      • are you able to buy the $5 cards on its own with the voucher?

        • no minimum order is $5.01

    • +2

I'll need a wheelburrow to pick up coffee, batteries etc ;-)

    • i don't think multiple orders is unusual

    • +5

It is $5 minimum so ideally you get a list of items that are just over

  • Well the site has gotten very slow now. Ozbargained is looming

    • The Cart page already crashed moments after it being posted here!

Website is very slow now, but managed to put an order through for Nespresso-compatible pods (10 pack) for $0.49. Thanks, OP!

  • LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAG, :)

  • Credit card payment service must be broken now.

    • And paypal failed too, wrong token blabla

      • I got this as well, I just changed to a different postal address is paypal

      • I keep getting this too, works the 2nd time when checking out

  • yeah this is working for paypal n not visa card.. sadly dont have money in my paypal :(

    • +1

link your paypal to your credit card or your bank account?

    • isn't you paypal connected to your master card/visa card? mine is :/

  • Naice. Batteries :D

  • Thanks OP!

Got 12x AA now trying to get 12x AAA but the site is really slow now.

kept getting Wrong "PayPal Express Checkout Token specified" but just tried again and it went through.

  • Can you pick up multiple orders at once?

And if I buy a few gift vouchers, Can I use them all in 1 transaction?

    • You can definitely pickup multiples at once. And stack gift vouchers. Done both, a few times.

  • Code invalid. Ozbargained. Got 2 map pod packs so I'm happy. Take that Gerry.

  • Can you use a gift card to buy online?

    • No. They don't accept gift cards on the website.

  • I keep getting Wrong "PayPal Express Checkout Token specified" too

    • Worked for me just now.

  • Wonder where the rep's gotten to. He's usually here pretty quickly after a spike in traffic or otherwise. Maybe off for Christmas already… (good for him if so).

    • No time to chat on OZB I reckon.

No more store pick up option after a few failed attempts with credit card/paypal.

  • Site is crapping itself again. Getting nothing added to cart.

    • Not sure site is crapping itself or because of some greedy people here are using the code for many times (abusing the system).

  • Does harvey norman accept multiple gift cards? Is there a limit on how many gift cards I can use?

  • "Wrong PayPal Express Checkout Token specified." What does that mean? :S

  • Wrong PayPal Express Checkout Token specified.

  • -1

    Batteries REMOVED from website.

  • .

  • Is anyone else getting "Please enter a valid promotional code"?

  • lol also now getting Wrong PayPal Express Checkout Token specified.

    • +1

same, nearly game over I think…

      • at least I got one order in for batteries. was trying the 25c memory card

        • nope it worked! 25c memory card me up ;) - KEEP TRYING @(&@(&#

  • Keep me trying just brings more pressure to their server, why not just let me pay ~~~~

  • +3

Please enter a valid promotional code.. deal completed

  • GG gone, code doesn't work. Fail harvey norman

    • hmmm was in the middle of waiting for order to process and they've charged me the full amount. Refund time, upon pickup! The lengths we go to… ;)

  • Got the "Please enter a valid promotional code" message too

  • I thought it was meant to last 48 hours? This is going to be a customer service nightmare for HN

    • If OP release the code a few hours later, it might last for 8 hours. But as soon as the ozbargaining happen and detected, it's close to the expiration. Anyway, haven't got invoice emailed, so even the 12pk batteries are not secured.

  • Promotion code not valid for Gift Card now…..

  • Now wait to see if they honor it

  • Deal Expired? - HN made a lot of money. They got so many orders the site crashed

  • HAHA we hammered it. Well done!

  • "Please enter a valid promotional code"

  • Game Over

  • now getting "Please enter a valid promotional code" lol

got my batteries so I'm happy :)

    • +1

I am not sure about it, did you get the invoice as well as pick up notification? All I got is an email confirmation states they received my order, and they can easily locate all orders using the code, and filter out those actual payment more than a threshold, say $10, and cancel the major rest part from OZB.

  • coupon not working on items I have added. Saus coupon applied but it doesnt take $5 off the total

  • Yup. It's all over, red rover.

I was in the middle of the payment details page and the page reloaded by itself and discount disappeared. Looks like Big Brother cottoned on.

  • welcome5 code expired?

  • As above, code no longer working, ozbargained.

Managed to get 2 x $10 Gift cards, was hoping to get 700 of them, oh well.

  • WTF supposed to be valid for 48hrs. Hardly Normal does the old bait and switch tatic. Anyone wanna let dept. of consumer affairs know?

    • +2

Nah, thats not a bait and switch. Its a "OZBARGAINED" smash and grab, thus they shut it down.

      • +3

Agreed, pretty sure we would've bankrupt them if this was valid for 48 hrs.

        • Maybe but its their fault and its only HN. They shoulda advertised valid until we get ozbargained not valid for 48hrs

  • +1

Mark this as OzBargained and Expired?

    • +4

I do think besides the "Expired" tag, we need an "OZBed" tag. They are two totally different situations.

  • Bought 1 12 AAA phillips and a cygnett universal car mount for mobile phone, 2 separate checkouts

    http://www.harveynorman.com.au/philips-powerlife-aaa-alkalin… $6.00

    http://www.harveynorman.com.au/dashview-universal-car-mount.… original price $14.00

Then the checkout girl accidently gave me 1 extra battery pack for free :)

So got all three for $10.00 (worth $26.00) Niceee

  • OzBargained: "Please enter a valid promotional code"

  • Ozbargain… more effective at crashing sites than DDOS

OzBargain: Free Crowdsourced Server Stress Testing

      • +2

        Free

The way we take advantage of some of these deals, they are probably losing more than they make off us.

  • Coupon no longer being accepted. Even tried it with a laptop.

    Yep, mark as ozbargained.

  • +8

GONE !!! We, Ozbargainers, have successfully scared Gerry Harvey away from the Online world.

  • ok now confess who got 200x $5giftcard and pay only $500? good for buy 1 get 1 laptop event from HN !

    • May be they will impose the rule "only 1 gift card allowed for 1 purchase" from today, ha!
Anyway got my $1 battery, I am not greedy (well, too late to be greedy indeed… ha!)

    • how did you manage to order $5 gift cards? did you buy something else which each of those orders?

  • +2

Now let's wait for all the latecomers to come and bitch about how this should have been kept on the quiet, and that the OP posting it on OzBargain ruined it for everyone.

    • +1

Yeah maybe should've not posted it, but where was the fun in that?

The email went out to everyone who signed up for email spam, they are going to have a lot of unhappy people who got that email and want to use it.

      • The way I see it OP was taking the spam hit for the rest of us :P

      • No worries, I wasn't having a go at ya. Just a slight dig at folks from the Event Cinemas post who were bitching and moaning about how the deal got killed as a result of being OzBargained.

      • They will probably activate the code again with a 20 pages t&c

  • Bought an SD card wohoo thanks OB!
