Looking to buy a GPS as a gift. How does this compare to other GPS in this price range. The free map update is what is attracting me to this for the price, but then that depends on how active they are with updates. .

Go for Tom Tom Live or Garmin instead. I had this unit for 2 days, and that was 2 days toooo long.
