  • It is a Samsungmbut a HD TV instead of a FHD TV though.

    • I would have bought this at $300 if it had FHD, WiFi and could play all format movies over network.

      • +14

i would have bought this at $300 if it had 100hz, LED, FHD, bluetooth, wifi, and cleaned my dishes

        • you had me at cleaned my dishes but I don't understand the Hertz thing unless your using to as a gaming pc screen because everything is in 24hz these days anyway except 3d and if it was capable of that there would be a big red neon sign above it saying so.

      • +1

If i had heaps of money i would buy a really good telly nthat.

        • +10

If I had heaps of money, I won't be coming here and replying this comment.

      1366 x 768 Screen Resolution :(

      • +1

That's just fine for a TV this size. Yes, 1080 is better, but it's not that much better that its worth giving up a day's pay for.

  • USB Movie Playback

    Does it play MKV files?

    • -6

I dont think so, maybe only common avi, mp4 formats

    • +6

Yup, it plays almost every format you throw at it

    • +2

It should all my samsung tv plays mkv 1080p smoothly

  • Please add $27 shipping cost to the title as this deal is available online only. Not available in-store.

    • +6

You can place the order online and pickup in store if you like. Just need to wait for confirmation

Can ship aswell, but yes shipping charges on top.

      • -3

If it's not in-store, then where exactly do you pick it up?

        • call them to organise a pick up from the store close to your place

  • +4

    Only has 1hdmi input?

    • +3

Well, again, what you pay is what you get!!!

Can anyone explain how this is better than the Soniq 32" which is $199? Serious question, I am clueless…

    • Just curious when a TV is advertised as X inches does that mean the actual viewable screen or the screen plus the bevel? I just ask because that Soniq TV has a serious bevel on it.

      • +3

The last time a screen was measured including the bevel was when crt monitors were still around..

    • +1

I think mainly coz soniq is considered an inferior brand, worse picture quality, while samsung is meant to be pretty good.

    • +1

build quality. product support. If you're buying a Soniq, factor the extended warranty into the price because your tv WILL fail.

      • I think any tv is about the same. My soniq tv lasts for 2 years now and is still running like new (yet, I also purchased an additional 4 yrs warranty for the peace of mind and better resale value).

  • +12

    1366 x 768 Screen Resolution -shame not 1920 x 1080

  • +6

    series 4 only.
    no network connectivity.
    no full hd..
only 1 hdmi .. blah blah blah.. no deal!

    • +1

i disagree. Its the cheapest brand name tv. Great option for a bedroom where you need a smaller tv. I've had far too many yumcha brand tv's fail on me in a very short space of time, they're not worth it.

IMO the fact that it doesn't have the additional features doesn't matter. I bought one for my mum. She'll watch tv on it, nothing more. Episodes of Inspector Morse won't look any better if it was full hd.

    "UA32EH4003MXXY"

Mystery model. There are UA32D4010NM's, UA32D4000NM's, UA32EH4000M's, etc, etc, but I can't find any record of this. What is the correct model code?

    • I think you are right. Most likely JB will get it from Singapore . That's why $27 shipping charge applied and not available in store. Normally Free delivery with all Aussie stock at JB.

      • +1

I think you can pickup at store???

        • The JB page shows; "Not available in-store."

        • +1

you can buy this tv in store (check the tv section of the website, there is an identical page for a tv that you CAN buy in store) but you just dont get this price. Its an online only deal.

  • -8

if it was fullhd and 100hz i would have bought

    • you have to wait a little longer then :D

  • 1 hdmi…ugh

  • Anyone knows anything about the warranty on this TV, as i cannot see it on the website…

  • yeah i got one, good value. branded TV for 249 bucks. 1xHDMI aside it's def great value

  • -1

U won't need 100hz unless for gaming, for tv not much of difference from 50hz

  • This would be an ideal TV for my mum's bedroom when she watches a movie every now and then. How is the sound?

    • +1

I find the sound more than adequate.

    • Even if you found the sound lacking, a cheap (albeit decent) set of stereo speakers could easily fix the problem.

  • Anyone know if this is one of the many Firmware HACKABLE Samsung TV models? (see SamyGo.TV for forums, wikis, bug fixes, mods, firmware downloads etc.). I don't really know how to "drive" the SamyGo website so I was not able to post a Firmware mod link here. Google search wasn't much help either - it suggested I try UA32EH4003 XXY in the search which DID give more results, AND I see that there's been some debate here about the exact model number of this TV.

I'll grab one straight away if the firmware can be hacked to give non-encrypted PVR (TV Recording) capabilities.

BTW the JB website seems happy enough to allow me to pick up from my nearest store (Perth, SOR) and my shopping cart shows zero freight.

YIKES! If it's the same as the UA32EH4003MXRD model (closest match on the Samsung site), then there's no PC connection so can't be used to couch-browse the web by plugging in an old netbook with wireless keyboard & mouse. Reckon I might go for that DSE Viano deal that luke73 mentioned instead — it has PC (VGA+Audio) inputs, more HDMIs and PVR (probably encrypted tho) and it's cheaper!

  • i got this for $378 several months back and it is a good tv for the price… at $249 I even contemplating on buying it again :D

  • This is a great deal for a small-room sized TV. I got the 32" Kogan on pre-order and that was an excellent deal but this is the best i've seen for a 32" Samsung. No it doesn't have Full HD, ethernet, smart TV. If you want that pay $650 for the same size… if not… buy this one!

  • is there a big difference between full hd and hd for a 32inch tv?

    • If your going to be sat 3ft in front of it then yes…but you will also go blind being that close, in the real world from the average distance of 6ft you will not notice + have you had your eyes checked recently as believe it or not this actually makes a bigger difference.

  • Hi Guys, I havn't had the time to work out how to post deals up so if its worth it go for it but BigW has Sharp 32" HD LED TV - LC32LE345X for $298 - http://www.bigw.com.au/electronics/televisions/led-tv/bpnBIG…

  • Great deal, but oh how I wish it had wifi! Kinda useless for my purposes without it. And yet I'm still contemplating buying one.

  • 50hz, only pal then?
I'm really not sure could someone please elaborate if this will work @60hz on hdmi?

    thanks

  • +1

Good deal just got one for the bedroom. Pick up from store. No shipping.

  • Hi, placed an order an hr ago now just realise there is no vga ports? anyone got any clue how I'll be able to connect this to my pc? thanks in advance :D

  • Anyone knows when JB will send the confirmation email for pick up in store???

As i ordered online on xmas day and will pick up in store. But still no reply yet..

    • I ordered 25th, got pickup email 26th 8am.
May depend on if it's instock at the store you ordered from.

(Pickup was a pain too, big lines, long wait)

  • Got it yesterday. Very nice.

  • Ordered on Monday night and received pickup email on Wed.

Went today to Westfield Sydney in the afternoon - no queues took about 5 minutes after they check ID. Its pretty light 7-8kg which made carrying back much easier.

BTW it appears it does actually have 2 x HDMI ports.

Happy with the purchase - simple TV for watching Freeview channels & dvd's.

Thanks wombok2 for posting the original deal.

    • Are you sure there are 2 HDMI ports???

      What model is your one???

You may want to check this:
      http://www.samsung.com/sg/consumer/tv-audio-video/television…

      • Hi chengjianer,

Yes, it has 2 x HDMI ports on this particular set.

        Model is UA32EH4003M.

Other's mileage may vary as it contradicts the specs on the Samsung & JB Hi-Fi website.

  • Guys, I haven't my purchase as I am taking overseas as a Gift. Can somebody please comment upon the quality/color brightness/colors, etc. In short what is the first review? Thanks

  • Can anyone else confirm whether it has 2 hdmi inputs?

    • I searched a few websites, I think it has only 1 HDMI input

    • In the TechSpeces it said 1 HDMI, but on the TV it has 2 HDMI

  • Just Ordered One

  • Thank you so much OP, ordered around 11PM last night and recieved pick-up email at 8AM this morning :D

    • +1

Can you give a quick review?
Is the second HDMI on the side or are they both on the back?
Maybe you could give the op a +vote.

      • +2

        Hi Luke,

        They're both on the back.

Setup the TV for my in-laws so only played with it for a night. Was upgrading from CRT.

The TV stand is all plastic construction.
Took 8-10mins to tune digital & analogue channels.
        All Freeview channels look good.

        Good value for $250.

No complaints! If it lasts a year I'll be happy, anymore will be a bonus just like the extra HDMI port :)

        • +1

@hsf Thank You and I 100% agree Good Value For Money

Yes there are 2 HDMI and both at the back
          And there are
          Component In (Y/Pb/Pr) x 1ea
Composite In (AV) x 1 (Common Use for Component Y) ea

          These are the photos http://www.samsung.com/sg/consumer/tv-audio-video/television…

Somehow in the photos don't show Component / Av-In,

So I think Samsung TECH SPECS is wrong on HDMI and right about Component / Av-In :D

  • Purchased on Christmas Eve. No money taken from my account yet or shipping details sent. :-(

    • To be delivered or pick up in store?
Did you get any Order Confirmation? If you did not i think you haven't ordered it :)
Just like any other online order, as long as we click "pay" or "confirm order" we should recieve confirmation email of the order

      • +1

To be delivered. I have an order ID. It says Order Status: In progress.

        • Good Luck, hope your item will arrive soon because now it is busy time of the year

  • Got this TV for about 3 weeks now, somehow this TV randomly goes blank for about 2 secs then comes back on, it looks just like a power cut but it's not.

    Anyone experiences this problem???

I did some research on Google, i found some other users have this problem too!!!

    How to fix it???
