    Normally they do stuff to combine shipping and just charge a reasonable shipping fee, today they are charging the shipping on every individual item. Ridiculous. 60 items (yeah I went overboard) = $342 shipping. Some of them were small items too.

    Here is a little trick to order only 1 item:
    Log in, add 3x items to cart, then proceed to checkout page (https://www.catchoftheday.com.au/checkout_payment.php).
    In a new tab in your browser open your cart and change quantity to 1. Return to the previous tab with checkout page and refresh it by pressing F5.

    Don't know if they honour the order though :)

    The shipping is outrageous and makes the items not a bargain at all. This is ozbargain not Ozripoff.

      well if you follow that philosophy "Nothing is free in this world"

      then the shipping isn't all the expensive when you divide between item value plus some on shipping cost, that's how COTD worked out which items to list anyway. They'd end up pocketing back the excess amount after paying for standard shipping.

      I think it's poor form and cheap 5 year old tactics to convince buyers today that something is really free when there's every intention to regain a couple of dollars back in costs. Would have been more honest to say a flat amount like the 2 dollar shop + shipping cost

    ordered 3 items, not every items worth ~$5.50 (avg shipping cost per item). i bough 2 bottles ($5.50), 2 princess chair ($11) and xxxx ($5.50). don't know if they worth $6 each.

    If a deal is promoted as "just pay shipping" then I expect some documentation from AusPost to match the exact total CotD is charging and not a cent more.

    What scares me, is that there must still be plenty of suckers buying from these "sales". This isn't the first time they've done this "just pay postage" scam. If nobody was biting, they'd have canned it after the first couple of tries.
