I have this washing machine for a few years now, works well , no issues, just a heads up, not all cycles let you put in the full 10kg

    • +6

That's the same for every washing machine. Max load only for the long cycles.

is it the case? never seen that with Bosch, Samsung, LG or Westinghouse I owned.

        • +1

Own a Samsung that is on the way out and I can tell you it is the case.

You will be surprised at what is listed in the manual.

    • What's the noise level like for this one?

  • Great deal! Got this (luckily) as an out-of-warranty replacement for the previous model (the dryer element wiring issue and a worn bearing). Going great so far, the increased capacity is great. Dryer still only works well for 3-4 items at a time on auto mode (otherwise expect 2-3 hours drying time / no auto).

IYMK; Electrolux was fantastic to deal with (the AU call center specifically) and the technician was very up-front with needing a new machine. 10/10 would buy again.

if ur referring to the washer/dryer combo, I think this is just the washer EWF1042R7WB. EWW1042R7WB is the washer/dryer combo

      • Note washer dryer does use water during drying phrase.

There not bad machine if you have a lack of space but something to note.

  • Great machine. 1.5 yrs now and going strong 1 to 2 times per day.

How come you are using it so often?

      • guessing kids

And they produce an insane amount of athletics and sports washing. And general clothing is like having been in the trenches. Weekly bedding changes and towels let alone any 'nice' clothing.

      • Family and sports … never ending gym / athletics and then by the time a week rolls around it is time for bedding and general stuff accumulated through the week.

The machine just eats it all up without fuss.

        • Thanks. A very active family! Great to hear. Well I know which washer I'm getting next!

  • 74kg?! Damn.

    • Yeah, seems a little light. Very easy to scooch into postion.

  • Thanks OP, just bought!

  • Is there a deal on a 10kg dryer to match this?

  • +1

Have this & its cousin the heat pump dryer. Excellent units

  • Is this better than a direct drive machine?

  • +1

Worst washing machine and company ever. I bought the washing machine and the heat pump dryer. One month out of warranty the dryer stop heating. Appliance online did nothing and Electrolux didn’t want to do anything but charge for a call out and when I talked to the offical repairer he said most likely the heat pump had failed and would not worth fixing. Buy any other brand then this shit as they use cheap parts that fail. Still have the dryer but can’t even give the crap away so someone else may want to fix it.

    • Yeah, but it's out of the warranty tho. you're just out of luck. This can happen for any brand. My Electrolux has been going strong for like 12 years. Just by another Appliance from Appliance online, and they will take the old one away for free.

You could always try the ACCC, "reasonable time" line on them.

    • If you push this will be covered by consumer law. It's reasonable to expect a $1000+ dryer would last more than 2 years (unless you didn't care for it properly like not cleaning the condensor) . I feel this may be the case and now you are angry that your mistake has stuffed the machine

      • No I babied the stupid thing. They are just junk. Replace it with a Bosch as I know it will last

    • This listing is about this model of washing machine, is this the one you bought and how is it?

    • Totally different experience, I use Electrolux washing machine, dryer and dishwasher for a few years, and I've never owned anything better, and the list of what I've used includes Miele, Asko and Westinghouse. Got to say my Westinghouse fridge is a star, though.

  • Is the detergine and softener added manually or come with auto dosing?

    • +1

I think it is manual dosing for the Ultimate 700 series. The more expensive model Ultimate 900 series has Auto Dosing. Not worth it for the extra cost IMO.

I have the 9kg version of this washer. It washes and rinses very well. Unlike most front loaders this actually uses a decent amount of water to wash and rinse the clothes. The washing programs are really good and not too crazy with the time they take. I have an electrolux heat pump dryer as well which is excellent.

I waited until the weekend to visit my local Harvey Norman to get a price match but they already beat me to it. They've dropped to $749 now so can't get them to match free delivery. Lucky I had an active product care to use from a previous purchase.

    • They really should do $769 delivered as well but knowing Gerry that is unlikely. Still cheaper Appliances Online if you use incognito mode to sign up for $30 voucher. Plus I'd rather they get the money than Gerry.

  • Thanks OP, just ordered one!

  • Note Appliances Online will include 6kg of OMO washing powder to the cart for free ($50 value).

    • No more stock on omo :(

  • This is a fantastic washing machine, can't believe the price.

  • Ordered one last night and had the omo included automatically (although delivery date is mid March!)

  • Mine automatically included but stated no stock and need to be removed upon check out :(

  • Had it delivered few days back after buying through E&S price matching.
They took away my old Electrolux model (working for 12 years but started to show age) and installed new one.
So far, few washes done and its pretty good. Haven't bothered with the app yet.
