Lot's of headphones going around. So here is my find for some In-Ears which have a high rating: http://www.head-fi.org/products/sennheiser-ie80/reviews

These were on sale a few months ago but they jacked the price up soon after and I know some people missed out. Those who bought then, how did you like them?

Going through Amazon checkout, I got final price as:
Artikel: EUR 169,75
Verpackung & Versand: EUR 17,04
Gesamtbetrag: EUR 186,79
(Rechnungssumme: AUD 248.00**)

  • Bought this a couple of weeks ago from Amazon.de. Checked all the Amazon's and this was the cheapest. Weird thing though, the headphones actually got sent out from the US warehouse in New Jersey.

  • I also purchased a pair about 4 months ago from Amazon Italy for around $240. These are still a good deal at $248. Great IEM headphones. Excellent sound.

    • The real question is how does one go about obtaining warranty.

Looks like its covered by international warranty.

Here is a cut and paste from the link below
1.5 Warranty Claim & Proof of Purchase
If you wish to file a warranty claim, the end user is to return goods to the place where they were purchased, alternatively contact Syntec International Pty Ltd. To claim warranty, end users must produce Proof of Purchase, whether or not there is a major problem with the product or service. Acceptable Proof of Purchase, is dealers/retailers Tax invoice (purchase receipt)

  • Will be cheaper if you don't use Amazon's inhouse conversion rate and use a 28 Degrees Mastercard I'd imagine.

  • i posted this deal a few months ago.

Love the IEMs but hate the carry case! Carry cases from Shure or Sony are so much easier!

    • no, this deal is cheaper:
      with VAT removed: EUR 169.75
      shipping and handling: EUR 17.04

      EUR 186.79
AUD $247.56 (using amazon currency converter)
      AUD $238.33 (using xe.com)

yours was $260+ with amazon converter, and $250 with 28 degrees.

These headphones are my daily listening pair, along with the older IE8 series. Sometime in the future, I hope to acquire the new IE800s that are around the $1k mark at the moment.

I find these earphones brilliant for everyday use, with strong bass (depending on the physical setting on the phones), clear mids and decent highs. The sound of these phones certainly changes over the burn-in period but will settle once a certain amount of time is spend burning em in.

Anything less than $300 is a bargain.

    Cheers,
    rusty
